This little market is such a treasure to find. I am almost afraid to let the cat out of the bag because I’m sure it will get busier than what it already is. We are from the Midwest and have always had the best beef and sausage around. We have lived here for 12 years now, and trying to find the same grade of meat is almost impossible to find. Most of these prepackaged meats that the grocery stores sell is OK but just not the same grade. This little market has their own butcher shop in the back. If you can’t find what you want you only have to ask the manager or owner and they will get it for you within a few days the one thing that we always buy from them is the Italian sausage yes we like the hot Italian sausage and most places just sell the regular sausage that is too sweet for our taste it does not even compare with what this market makes. This market is small, but the produce is fresh and from local farmers. They’re very selective in what they have however, I can always find what I need. I even buy chicken feet for my dogs as a treat. They never waste anything. My husband and I decided to try a real Italian market And they cannot even compare to this market and the price there is three times the price of what we pay here. The market does have a smell to it, but you have to remember they butcher all their own meat so that is what you’re smelling in the store you will get used to it because everything else is worth it. Check out people are wonderful. The manager the owner. What can I say? Just such a friendly family market located in downtown Buckeye. Highly recommend this place and I hope they never go out of business. I would be so disappointed if they did, I don’t see that happening because it’s always busy. This is my go to place for any meat that we buy. You will not go wrong by...
Read moreBeen going here since I was 8 years old. Never had any problems, until the mask mandate (mandate, not law) I can’t wear a mask due to medical reasons. I go in once a week to get WIC for my daughter. I’m in and out in under 10 minutes. I social distance. Most of the time, the staff are very kind and understand.
But this past time? I was humiliated. Yelled at. Berated in front of the whole store. While buying formula and baby cereal for my baby. I was surrounded by staff telling me to leave right now. Told I couldn’t buy baby food.
I’m protected under law from discrimination. I can’t wear anything on my face or covering my face. The whole store didn’t need to hear “I don’t care if you have a medical condition, you need to leave”.
Humiliated. Just trying to buy food for my baby.
Teach your staff the difference between a mandate and a law. Your sign that says “it’s law” is incorrect.
Teach your staff that it is, indeed, illegal to discriminate against a MEDICAL CONDITION.
I’m actually scared to go back as I was surrounded and humiliated and physically blocked by...
Read moreUsually a great experience shopping at this little hometown market but this morning was anything but. Cashier Sylvia was super rude to my husband. We weren’t even ready to check out and was simply standing by the register and she starts telling us a price. My husband and I were both thinking “what, we didn’t want to check out yet”. So my husband walked up to the debit machine to pay and he said “oh I have a coupon” then she says “it might not work because you have to spend $20”. He shows her the coupon then she puts in the code and he starts to swipe his card. Then she starts telling him “we don’t do cash back” my husband says “I don’t want cash back” then she tells him to press enter and starts getting irritated and gives him a nasty look because apparently she’s in such a hurry to get us out the store and he’s not doing it fast enough for her. Never seen this cashier before and we come to this market at least twice a week. Talk to your cashiers and retrain them on customer service because this lady had none....
