I’ve been in this store before and I was really looking forward to shopping here but I had the WORST experience with one of the sales people. As a previous retail employee, I do understand the frustration employees may have surrounding customers, however this is no excuse to poorly treat them. For some reason, the store leaves the door open in 30 degree weather. I asked if it would be able to shut the door, thinking maybe the door had been opened for a short period to cool it down. The sales woman was very rude to me and said no they were unable to close the door. It was not what she said, it was the manner of how she delivered it to me. If she had been nice, and treated me in any sense like a fellow human being, I would understand. BE CAREFUL BRINGING KIDS IN HERE! I usually love going into this store but yesterday, my son was "acting up" and they SCREAMED at him. They never once asked him to stop nicely, they just went to screaming at him. I understand he was doing something he wasn't supposed to but there was no reason to yell at him the way they did. The lady literally screamed from the top floor at him while he was down stairs. I never even got the chance to tell him to stop before she screamed at him either. She just went to screaming like a psycho. He was literally playing with the tree of wind chimes. I didn't care if you were having a bad day, you can ask nicely. My go to store for genuine gifts and spiritual enlightenment for the past 10 years. Since being under new ownership, the store has lost some of its charm and uniqueness. After a recent visit I was very disappointed to see more cliche items, an over abundance of clothing, and other generic artifacts. I hope the new owners realize that the beauty of the store should largely remain with handcrafted, intricate, and often local items that it was always known for in the past.
