The Northgate store is always stocked and kept tidy. It was a little busy, but I was able to get what I needed, check out without a problem quickly. I have a comment about some of the gentlemen working in the produce section, though. One of the employees walking by happened to sneeze when I was around him, and this gentleman did NOT cover his face when he did. He sneezed out in the open with food and people around. I think these days, sneezing out in the open is just not sanitary. Better training needs to take place to teach them how to take care of such things. If they don't have the basic manners needed to know to cover your face when you sneeze, turn your head into your elbow, or get a tissue, the store needs to provide the training needed. His action was not just disgusting, but it made me angry. I don't know if he had a cold, the flu, or covid. He doesn't know if a client around has an immune system compromised with cancer or something else. I don't think I will be going back to that...
Read moreThey have a lot of Mexican items. You have to watch for pricing because sometimes their items are more expensive than other surrounding markets. The meat department is decent. They definitely need to work on their numbering system (sometimes you wait forever for all those ordering meat and all you want is cream… not efficient). The tamales SUCK (flavorless). Some of the prepared food is decent. They also have their own bakery, but we personally don’t care for their bread (not what you would expect from a Mexican bakery). I agree with the other reviews that some of the cashiers are rude and definable take their time ringing up people. It’s a coin toss (sometimes you get excellent service). Read moreI was lined up to pay for my groceries, the store manager sent me to the express lane, because there was only 2 people in line. When the express lane cashier saw me come, she immediately complained and told me not to use the express lane. I told her, the store manager has sent me. Store manager came by to try to calm her down. The cashier told her that she shouldn’t do that even if she was the store manager, because she as cashier was charging the money on that lane. She was really rude. Manager had no control over the situation. Cashier should be fired, not only for the horrible customer service skills, but also for the way she treats her authorities. It was so unpleasant. It’s like they are treating cattle in a ranch. She did not respect me or her boss. Ugly place to be, makes you feel as if they are dealing with animals. Toxic...
