Definitely not a expert on Peruvian food, but I have been to Peru (Lima, Cusco, Machu Pichu) I do have some experience with the food culture. This place is similar if not 99% to what I remember having in Peru.
The Chicha Morado was a little bit sweeter than what I remembered, but was very similar to the refreshing drink that was had while in Cusco. Lomo Saltado itself was a tad on the salty side, but still very tasty and is one to order again. Only issue i had was with the rice. It seemed as if the rice was somewhat dry either left in the cooker for too long or the water to rice grain ratio was off. (I LOVE RICE!!) The Tallarin verde y milanesa de pollo was mouth watering. Pesto sauce mixed with spaghetti and grated parmesan cheese spread all over? Then there is a huge lightly breaded and succulent piece of (i'm assuming) chicken breast over the top? WHAT?? I had to stop myself (and my wife) from eating it all in one sitting! The star of show, however, was the ceviche.
Now i'm fortunate enough to work at a place where we're able to watch the cooking channel all day long. Peru has won gastronomic country award '15, '16 for their flare on food. Most notably, their ceviche. The ceviche here was....there are no words to describe. I don't know what they do to it, but you just have to try it for yourself. The Ají Limón ceviche. GET THAT and you wont go wrong. I can't wait to return and try the other ceviche's they make.
As for the service; impecable. We had no problems whatsoever and our server was great. He was super courteous, knowledgable and very efficient. This place has all the makings of a 5 star establishment in my book. Will it make it to...
Read moreWell it’s a Sad day for me and my family we have been a good customer for many years. Today my Son in Law ordered our food for pick up and the manager was rude to him to begin with. I’ve know him for many years and have had nothing but good experience with him. When I arrived my food was ready and I asked to get extra tarter sauce and he told me that for every 4 oz cup it’s a dollar extra. My bill total was 94.74 for 2 kales de Mariscos and 1 arroz Chaufa de pollo. I’m spending about 100$ and your going too charge 4 dollars for 4 small cups. I told the manager he would be loosing a customer but he just said he was only the manager and he could do nothing for me. I really don’t want to ever go to that place ever again after all the customer I have sent to them. I will make sure that everyone I know here this and goes somewhere else for Peruvian food. I understand that times are hard now but if your going to give bad service and my juca was not cooked . To make my story short I did not enjoy my food!!!, or my service!!! And had the wort experience with this manager!!! He was an Asssss!!! Your definitely loosing good customer!!! My best luck for but me, my friends and anyone I know will be going somewhere else. Fix how you treat your customers so you keep your business. Thanks for hearing me out and hope the owner hears this. Please give me a call or...
Read moreI've been craving the Tallarines Verdes con milanesa de pollo for weeks, my friend and I came to this place and we got greeted as we walked in, we waited for about 10 minutes when the place was almost empty. Once we got seated the server took our order and we got out order in the next 10 minutes. I ate some tallarines and all I can say is "I've had way better ones", the chicken had a funny taste, so I asked my friend to tasted and she confirmed it, "it tastes old, like slimy", I was like "ohh my gosh, then my taste buds still work". To top it off the server never came to check if food was okay or if we needed anything. He only left 2 napkins which wasn't enough. If I could rate it a "0" start I sould. This is the worst place to go to if you're expecting...
