At first had a good experience but after 6 months of having the vehicle, it has multiple check engine lights coming on and will not pass 25 mph. Took it into Premier Chevy service dept since that’s where I just purchased it from and it shouldn’t be giving me issues already. I made an appointment online and listed all codes I was getting from diagnostic in the description/notes section of appointment scheduling. I scheduled it for Labor Day and when calling to confirm was told there was only 2 technicians and they were only servicing oil changes and minor maintenance issues that day so I rescheduled for Wednesday. I dropped it off Wednesday thinking I didn’t need to explain much since I listed everything when booking my appointment online and I did not know the codes off of memory and forgot the paper I wrote them down on. They preformed a diagnostic on it which if I did not get repairs it would cost $255. I get a call Thursday that it needs a new purge pump which would be covered but it also needed maintenance items like new spark plugs, brake pads and the air duct was “cracked” but did not necessarily need to be replaced. Which these are not covered cause it’s considered maintenance and would cost me over $2k. I said no since it was just maintenance and could be done for cheaper but still wanted the purge pump replacement since that is not maintenance. I was then told I would be charge the $255 then since the purge pump was a secondary finding…. it was not, it was one if the codes I had listed when making the appointment and is not considered regular maintenance like new brakes which you do not need a diagnostic to know you need new brakes or spark plugs come on now but a purge pump is something that would require being hooked up to a diagnostic to find out. I did not have time to wait for a supervisor when picking up my vehicle and thought since I already expressed that with only owning this vehicle for 6 months I should not have over $2k in maintenance issues especially since I purchased the vehicle from a Chevrolet dealership and not some run down car dealership that at this point looks like a better place to get your car from. My mom purchased her vehicle from a smaller dealership and when it had issues months after purchasing they repaired it at no cost…. Come on Premier Chevrolet you can do better. I was going to be purchasing a brand new vehicle in the next year and trade in my KIA but honestly KIA might get my business again cause I don’t feel like Premier Chevrolet Buena Park puts customers first especially after they already purchased the vehicle and are in fact a Chevy customer. And once I brought the truck home and looked at air duct it’s completely broken now which it was not prior to bringing it in to get serviced…

I just wanted to leave a note about the garbage experience I had with the service department at this dealership. First of all no one answers the phone. There is supposed to be a free shuttle service, but if no one answers the phone then you can't call them to come and pick you up. Also they only run the shuttle till 11am or something which is not very convenient at all. I ended up having to uber in both times which amounted to $40 out of my pocket. Secondly, there are no service loaners so we were out of a vehicle for 3 weeks. Thirdly, after a couple of week had passed I had texted my service advisor on two separate days to try and figure out where my vehicle was and I was not able to get any answer, after this I called but no one picked up the phone and I left a message on the machine... which was never returned... Finally I did get a call that the truck was finished... and I told them that I needed a couple of days to get over to the dealership... I was told that I needed to pay immediately or I would begin to incur storage fees. I was also surprised at the high price that I paid for the service requested, when I complained and wanted an oil change or a discount, I was told that I would get one in the final bill... but this never occurred. When I came in to get the truck there was no one at the service desk to talk to. I brought this truck to the dealership because I needed the airbag recall and needed a few other things fixed. I didn't take it to an independent shop because I wanted things to be done correctly! This did not happen. The trim pieces that I paid out of the nose for look like they are spray painted by a teenager and are put onto the truck crooked! In addition, I was warned that my free airbag replacement might crack my dashboard.... which sure enough... there is a huge split in the driver's side now. So just overall very disappointed... I expected more from Chevy for the price paid. Hopefully this is not the experience that is the norm nowadays... :-(

I’ve been with Premier Cheverolet of Buena Park for a long time… Well it’s only been a little over a year but it feels like a long time 🤠 My most recent visit has been the most awesome visit so far. The people who work here are AMAZING. In the past PCBP has had some issues regarding scheduling, prioritizing, and auto repair work flow in general. In all fairness I own an older performance vehicle and it tends to be high maintenance in general. Despite post covid, industry strike, shortage of parts and labor, and a phone system suited for low volume use the PEOPLE that work here continue to try and keep customers happy and meet their needs and expectations. The biggest challenge I have hade to deal with is the corporate polices of General Motors Corporation and Assurant Extended Warranty. Mainly their inability to provide customers with a consistent and reliable claim experience and rental process. Despite all of the efforts of the PEOPLE that work here they are constantly dealing with the hardship of corporate policies that defy basic common sense and hinder customer satisfaction. The “management and ownership”seem to be responding to the pitfalls of their operation from the past, most substantially hiring more staff to meet the volume of their repair and maintenance operation. Despite all of these challenges I will continue to return to this dealership because I love my cheverolet vehicle and I appreciate the PEOPLE who work here. I would like to personally thank Alan, Sandra, Randy, Matt and Sebastian for making it a more excellent outcome each time I visit PCBP.

I regret coming back here, they are dishonest up sellers of unnecessary services doing fraudulent repairs. Brought my 2018 Traverse in for a check engine light related to a low efficiency code on the bank 1 catalytic converter. Pretty straight forward thing, the cat is covered under a California state emissions warranty. They didn't even bother to test the cat in question.

But they could upsell me at every opportunity!

They found a small leak in the engine, covered under extended warranty. I authorized repair, took over a month.

They said the ECU needed a software update for recall. I authorized the repair.

They asked about replacing the brakes for a pulsation in the pedal. Not covered so my expense. Brakes are half life, I declined, I'll deal with it later.

What about that bank 1 cat code I originally brought the vehicle in to address?

Well Nadia the service sales lady indicated the technician smoke tested the exhaust and found two leaks, neither of which are audible from outside the vehicle and likely minor. Their claim is they can't diagnose the catalytic converter because of these leaks, the first of which is at the muffler, several feet downstream from BOTH catalytic converters. The second of which is at a flex pipe just after the catalytic converter for bank 2, not bank 1. They want $1300 to fix these minor leaks which aren't even in the vicinity of the problematic catalytic converter BEFORE they can even attempt to diagnose a bad catalytic converter. No offer to install a test pipe or make any actual effort to diagnose the problem. Just a wild guess on an upsell of seemingly unrelated parts AFTER they already made money on two other warrantied upsells for the leak and the recall software update.

So I asked Nadia to allow me to speak with the technician so that he can explain his diagnosis to me as it makes no sense. Did I mention that I'm a mechanic? Several excuses later for why I couldn't speak to the mechanic to have him explain his diagnosis I was told by Nadia that this is the diagnosis, the cat isn't bad, it's these leaks you can't hear causing the problem. I asked again if the cat was tested and was told no, it's a tiny leak in the muffler several feet downstream and a tiny leak in a flex pipe on the opposite side of the engine causing the problem.

Meanwhile they're pulling a transmission on the same vehicle to fix that leak under warranty. Guess what, that flex pipe has to be removed and disconnected from the muffler to do the job! It's all coming out and has to be put back together anyway, the labor hours are already paid for under the warranty for the transmission job! They wanted $1300 for the exhaust repairs without touching the cat. The flex pipe is $70, and the muffler $550. They wanted to charge me an additional $700 in labor on top of what they got paid to take it all apart to fix the leak! Their justification? Oh, they have to by "book time.". They could have just sold me the parts and maybe 1 hour labor but up sellers don't do that.

I declined the exhaust work. I'll address the leaks and bring it back for the free cat when they're out of excuses to upsell behind.

Took them a month to finish the repair on the leak. Several weeks go by without Nadia bothering to update me on the status of the repair so I stopped in for an update. Turns out the vehicle was finished that same day, but Nadia wasn't there at the time so I spoke with someone else. He confirmed the vehicle was finished. Great, I was ready to pick it up and get to work that same afternoon but was told I "couldn't" have my vehicle until the following day because the technician was still "running time" on the warranty repair. I asked again if it was finished and was told yes.

Running time is fraud. I was told I had to wait till the following day to pickup my vehicle so that they could fraudulently claim more hours on my vehicle than they actually worked. In the end they did not do anything to address my original issue but charged me $230 for their diagnosis of a part they...

The TLDR (but still really long, sorry) is I really recommend the team over at BP Chevy!!! GO SEE MUATH, SEBASTIAN, and JOVI!!! Wonderful guys who were not only patient with my anxious and indecisive self, but even took the extra steps to actually work with me on the financing side as well! Other dealers like the Honda across the street made me feel too stressed and pressured into buying a vehicle that I didn’t even get the ooo-la-la feeling. (Even with me being up front about not committing to a purchase that same day) Muath definitely changed my perspective regarding vehicles/brand histories with the new standards Chevy is now introducing into their vehicles. Came in Sat and left since there was still a lot to think about regarding which Chevy to go with. This did not affect his demeanor/personality at all. Some sales peeps will change up when it’s clear you’re not gonna purchase same day. Muath did not feel like the type to just try and push you into anything juuust to make a sale, which I appreciated and respected. (I know good karma will come to him!) After some hard thinking/debating and Muath finding the vehicle that suited me best at this time, I was finally committing to a purchase. Now bring in Sebastian/Jovi for the financing/dmv paperwork.. SUCH a pleasure to work with them as well!! They did their best to get/make me a good deal that I was happy to go home with. We are now at 11pm when closing was 9pm(came at 7:15pm) AND THEY STILL DID SERVICE WITH A SMILE. So I really do appreciate these guys and their time! (Finished/left 11:30pm) SO TREAT THEM WELL PLEASE! Because at the end of the day this is still a business and they have a job to do. They can’t perform miracles, but still try to work with you within reason. Although they def made me feel like magic happened! Remember, being a kind customer can go a long way people. I work in customer service too and I swear it can really make a difference on the experience for both sides. Thanks again to these 3 guys, and I’m glad to say I was Muath’s first sale here at the Chevy BP!! Woop woop ^_^ (for more details you can read below) Now, the even longer story.. lol. So this was my first time purchasing a brand new vehicle and going in I already had a rough budget I wanted to stay in. $30k. And yes, in these current times I knew this budget could only get me so far. HOWEVER, I ended up test driving the 2025 Equinox LT with added packages (panoramic sunroof, convenience pkg, tech/safety pkg). This already had a starting msrp of 35k so we are already pushing it, But I looooved it sooo much. Unfortunately, with the way the numbers were adding up - it just wasn’t meant to be no matter how much I wished/wanted and that’s okay!! Muath gave advice throughout and really understood I wanted to leave with a nice car but like a bang for my buck typa thing. He saw I was hesistant on the equinox purely because of the final cost and was battling with myself between what I really want vs what is actually practical for me. So he brings around the 2025 Trailblazer RS as an alternative that was more my-budget friendly. It took me a bit to digest and get hype after having the bummed feeling of not being able to get what would be considered my dream car, BUT I still left the dealership feeling happy and excited with my new purchase. And now that I’ve driven home and to work today. I LOVE MY NEW CAR!! A major upgrade from my 2015 Nissan Versa SV for suuure. You know, sometimes you gotta be more practical when it comes to a big purchase investment like a car when you’ve got a tight budget like myself. But who knows, maybe when the time is right I can come back and trade up for my dream car. After this experience, I will def recommend this team to friends/family. I did see some negative reviews online as I’m writing this, but it looks like they’ve gotten some new staff members since then (Muath just transferred in 2 mos ago!) so I would say at least go out there, give them a chance, and decide for yourself! Best of luck...

This is the worst dealer for auto repair, if I could I wouldn't even give them1 star. In December 2024 I had to take in my traverse because it was acting up and found out it was the transmission, no loaner vehicle or rental was offered not even after keeping it for weeks. When I picked it up the stereo was not working I went back to let them know and they apologized that they didn't inspect the vehicle to make sure everything was working before saying it was ready so they kept it again because the stereo had to be "replaced". So couple weeks later I pick it up but it didn't make sense because if it was a new stereo then how was my son's and husband phones still be able to connect to it if they hadn't been in my vehicle yet to program their phones again, but it was working for a while so I thought OK maybe they did. Then again around April I started having issues with the stereo so when my vehicle broke down again I took it in and let them know that the stereo was doing the same thing as before. So got my vehicle towed in to the dealer. Nadia in sales only called me to let me know that it had been dropped off and that she would be helping me but after that called she didn't call me until I called her a week later to find out what was the status only to tell me they still hadn't looked at it because of Memorial day they got behind, how could that have happened when I dropped off my car a week before the holiday?? anyways so she leaves me a VM saying it was the water pump which is covered by warranty and they have to replace the stereo and I had to pay $1250!!! I call her back and tell her how can that happen if supposedly it was replaced 4 months ago she goes and check the records to tell me oh yes it was and that she will call me back once she gets an approval so another week goes by and she doesn't call me I have to call her only to tell me nothing has been done yet but the stereo is going to be covered since it was a "NEW" stereo they had replaced last time and gave me all these excuses so I call back again on a Monday and she tells me the water pump is changed but still waiting for the stereo to be delivered ETA Wed. latest Thurs that I could either pick up my vehicle and then bring it back when the stereo gets there but I didn't do that because then I didn't want them to take any longer so still didn't get any updates that week until Saturday morning I had to call and talked to a man that checked for me to tell me that they are still waiting on approval, I told him how is that possible if the stereo should've already been there so he tells me they will call me back then all of a sudden within minutes Nadia leaves me a VM that my vehicle is ready to be picked up and there was a confusion with the names how can that happen our last name is not even a common last name but anyways I go pick it up and they tell me I have a deductible that I have to pay when never in our conversations did she mention a deductible and Nadia kept insisting she talked to my husband and told him when he dropped of my vehicle which was not true because my vehicle was towed in and the person she had been dealing with the whole time was myself and I always had to be calling in because she said she would call me and wouldn't call me back but the whole time she kept insisting she talked to my husband, so I told her to show me where it said we had a deductible and she brings out the forms that state that and the rental car option which I told her never did they ever offer a rental or loaner both times that they had my vehicle for over a month she said because they have to submit for approval but that don't matter they should've still offered it and they didn't. Nadia needs to get her story straight when she talks to her customers, I did tell her this is the 3rd vehicle I have purchased at Premier Chevrolet but will be the last!!! They just want to see what they can get away with in charging...
