Rick Gomez Park — Attraction in Buena Park

The Rick Gomez Park was such a great idea with the nod to peanut league. But sadly this place is so depressing. It was such a beautiful and inviting park. With a wonderful and unique theme of baseball. But sadly that did not last long. One of the swings is already broken off, a section of the Astroturf is coming up, pieces of the climbing steps are always coming off and loose and Usually there is trash under the playground. There is graffiti on the playground and on the cement sitting stones. I do really enjoy the workout areas The one next to the playground and on the other side of the cul-de-sac. I do also love the playground and the swings both of them(when there were two). There is also a very fun light game that surprisingly still works. And the giant gloves with surrounding baseballs and bats is super fun to climb with your children. Hopefully the city of Buena Park gets better at maintaining...

Looked up this park in Google Maps and it said Rick Gomez Park had bathrooms. It definitely does not have bathrooms. It's also located within a neighborhood at the end of the cul-de-sac, that looks a little aketch, but didn't think it was that bad.

What does have though are some really cool play structures and a baseball themed structure too. And the most important thing however, the kids had a blast.

Interesting small pocket park with a playground structure with shade coverage (slide, climbing, swings). Is very new and is relatively well maintained. Has street parking adjacent. However, it is right next to a major road and the freeway so it is VERY loud. Would recommend for kids 3+ but not younger. Also has a section at the back with exercise equipment for adults. Has a small shaded picnic area, but very little landscaping and/or trees. Would have been nicer if they landscaped more, esp at the back adjacent to the major...
