Jjin Jjajang — Restaurant in Buena Park

My first time visiting this restaurant on Saturday 10/19/24 afternoon at 3pm and we were the only people in the restaurant when we got there. We asked if we can bring our own alcohol and the owner confirmed it was okay. We ordered our food and enjoying our time. All of sudden owners wife showed up and gave us a check while we are eating. I asked her we have more people coming so can you give us a check later? She said she will just leave the check at our table. and about 10mins later my friend showed up and She came to our table asking are you going to order more food? She was very rude and all of us felt she doesn't want us be there so we paid and left the restaurant. My friend asked her if we did something wrong and she said no. I guess she doesn't want our business that day and from now on.

In conclusion, we had horrible experience at this restaurant and basically kicked out from the restaurant because owners wife was not having a good day? I will never go back to this restaurant. Also I was looking at the history of there health inspection, they have so many violations which I will look into deeply.

Pretty bad service. Spent $100 for dinner including take out items, food didn’t come out together, ate one dish, another dish come out, they still didn’t serve appetizer that we ordered after the last dish. The servers never apologized. There’s some debris found on their napkins and the server blamed napkin company as they only opened the package to give them to customers, another means that that’s not their fault, again she never apologized. Do I call the napkin company then, is it what she meant by it? Nasty staffs. Making excuses for their fault. Ordered black noodles to go, came home n found no sauce, only noodles. Called them, a lady answered. In the middle of my explanation, she cut me off to say Yes in Korean and told me to come back, omg. The way she says Yes in Korean was not even funny. The food here is definitely above average in taste, but the cleanliness of this place is highly questionable. First, the water cups had a strong, greasy smell. Even after replacing them, the smell persisted, so I gave up on drinking water. Just buy a soda instead, haha.

Secondly, I found a white, plastic-like fragment in the sweet and sour pork dish. When I brought this up to the owner, they insisted that it was squid bone and claimed it must have come from something I was eating before. Honestly, I don’t know what to say. How does the owner know better than the customer about what was in my mouth? Would it be that hard to admit it might have been a mistake?

I wasn’t asking for compensation—just an acknowledgment. Also, how is it my fault that "squid bone" showed up in a pork dish? This isn’t a sweet and sour squid dish! The way they handled the situation was so dismissive and accusatory. I don’t think I’ll be...
