Travelodge by Wyndham Buena Park — Hotel in Buena Park

Terrible service and no consideration for health or safety. The first room they gave me wasn't clean yet so I had to go back downstairs to get a new room. The lady explained that they were understaffed and some of the rooms weren't cleaned yet. Ok, understandable. Life happens. The 2nd room had a sink that had the plug stuck so it wouldn't drain. I had to walk back downstairs to get a new room. The 3rd room had an air conditioning unit that was missing a knob and I couldn't adjust the temperature. It was blowing warm air on a hot day so I went back to the office. Someone else was at the front desk this time. I explained the air conditioner and asked for a different room, but he blew me off, said he will send maintenance to fix it, and basically I had to just deal with it until it's fixed. But his accent was so thick I couldn't understand most of what he was saying and he was rude. My family had to sit in an extremely hot room for an hour while it got fixed because he wouldn't give us a different room. I have my 2 small children who were getting fussy from the heat and I am 8 months pregnant and i started cramping because I couldn't get cool. This is a health and safety hazard that they would not accommodate for and overall it was morally wrong. I called corporate and explained what was going on and they apologized and filed my complaint. If I end up in the hospital because of this I will sue. Do yourself a favor and avoid this place...

Stayed here to go to Disneyland. To start off, the pros were: Close to Disney, about a 15 minute drive Safe area Bed was comfortable.

However, everything went downhill upon closer inspection. When we first came in, we found there was the previous guests’ leftover nachos still in the fridge. This cause water to drip everywhere when we opened the fridge to throw it out. Also, the mini freezer had mold in it. We then inspected the drawers by our bedside, and there was a pair of socks and lingerie left there. This truly disgusted us; it seems like the housekeeping was not thorough at all. We didn’t feel comfortable in this room because of these icky finds. When we told the downstairs front desk about it, they only offered to clean it up the next morning as they didn’t have cleaners in the evening. Also we asked them for towels which they gave us to clean up the fridge ourselves. It was upsetting they didn’t offer to move us to another room. When we came back the next evening, the room was never cleaned up as they stated it would be. Also, the shower had shampoo and body wash, but the body wash was unusable. We tried everything to unscrew it, but nothing worked. As for other parts of the room, there is a noticeable gap in the front door. Make sure to use the top locks as well. Also, walls are thin but not the worst. No hairdryer is provided, but I’m not surprised as this is a motel.

Stayed from August 31-September 11. First day we checked in, we had an awful room: all the tables were scratched like crazy, and the couch in the room was so stained. The first room was obviously not renovated. The lock was broken off and over all the room was just terrible. My wife complained as it was nothing like the photos provided. We even debated just asking for a refund and going somewhere else. The owner made it right and moved us to a new room upstairs which was renovated. Room was decent! Air conditioning worked amazing, shower was good; always had hot water. The room was clean. The only thing was the tv was dirty and covered in something. But not a bad room for the price and felt good staying there again. My only complaint was that we never got room service once. My wife asked a couple of times but no one ever came. The sign said room service every 3 days, so we should have gotten it at least 3 times during our stay.

The front desk was super nice! They would always accomodate when we went to the front. They provided us more towels, more shampoo, soap, etc. we always felt welcomed going to the front desk. Overall, I would still stay again even with some negative experiences. The neighbourhood was good, very close to Disney and other stores ( 10 minute drive).
