Great to fish and go boating in just be respectful for the ones fishing due to the paddle boats do scare away the fish or you could run into their fishing line and snag their stuff. That's the only negative is the people in the paddle boats are very disrespectful to those trying to fish and purposely go towards you to make you lose your hook or fish or line. Other than that it's a great place to go for the day to fish if you can't get out to the big places for fishing. The prices to rent the boats are ridiculous especially when they aren't even gas powered, it costs 30 an hour and 15 for a half...

This is my neighborhood park. Hoyt lake offers boat rental and paddle boat rental during the summer months. This lake is connected to Delaware Park which is one of the most beautiful parks in Buffalo New York. This park has so much to offer it's also a very large Park this part of the park offers the Rose Gardens, Shakespeare in the park and a nice sized children's play area. There are some picnic tables but the parking is a long Lincoln Parkway there is no public parking lot in this area for the park. Delaware Park has a bike path that stretches through it and there is a loop that goes...

Hoyt Lake at Delaware Park offers it's visitors a breath taking view. At times, during the summer the water can be stinky. Attractions in and around the area are, The Terrace Restaurant, The Albright Knox Art Museum and Buffalo State College is close by. A 🌹 garden with a small water fountain is next to The Terrace Restaurant. I see many photographers taking wedding and special event pictures in the area surrounding Hoyt Lake. Summer months you can also see Shakespeare on stage in an open air venue. Paths are great for walking pets and family. Playground for the kids so parents can take a break.

I been to 34 countries & I have to say, Hoyt Lake is one of those special places. Right behind the beautiful art museum, the beautiful history museum in the distance, the amazing lake, one will double look to see it this is really real. Monday nights with Flow Jam, duck boats, Shakespeare performances 6 days a week, dozen volleyball nets, soccer field, play area, walking paths, The Terrace with amazing views/food, life is simply ❤️ special here. 💯 recommend.
