I truthfully am only giving one star because my wrap was not that bad, but my overall experience was terrible. My boyfriend and I had just gotten out of work and so we headed to louie's for something to eat, that was our biggest mistake. For starters the lady taking the orders was on her phone and had airpods in, now tell me if you are taking an order you need to be able to hear me correct? Well with airpods in the only thing you can hear is your music. She kept on asking us to repeat ourselves which I didn't mind because I wanted to make sure things were made correctly. When we got the bag of food we checked it over and this is where it gets good... they forgot my french fries and my boyfriends second hotdog. We approached the front very respectfully to inform them that we were missing food. We were rudely cut off after we mentioned french fries. My boyfriend goes on to say that he was missing his second hotdog and the COOK proceeds to cut us off and said she only charged you for one over and over again. This cook has always given me an attitude whenever we are speaking upon what they have forgotten. He has an "I am always right" attitude that I do not appreciate and find completely unprofessional as I am in the restaurant industry and know that that is a big no no. This was all happening while my boyfriend was looking at the receipt and we ended up paying for another hotdog because she only rang up one. We then leave and my boyfriend got the louie's fries but he doesn't like their fake cheese so he asks for feta instead, lone and behold that was made wrong as well. I also ordered a large fry and they had given me a regular and on the receipt it was a regular, another time she didn't listen. Overall I am very disappointed and truthfully probably won't return. The fact that you allow employees taking orders to be blasting music in their ears and allow a cook to argue with customers (this is not the first time with him) is absolutely disgusting to me. It is honestly a shame because Louies used to be one of my favorite spots to go to as a kid, trying to support local and this happens...
Read moreIf you’re looking for an affordable spot to grab a bite, this is it. The Louie’s Special omelette is awesome. I order delivery or take out at least once a week and have never had any issues with service or my orders.
A Dasher once left a sandwich behind and when I called to pick it up, they had one fresh along with a drink and some fries on the house.
Louie’s is a staple in the Elmwood Village. You have an array of customers dining in at any given time. Young folks after a night barhopping, families, workers on lunch breaks, etc. It’s the closest thing we have to a classic diner!
You don’t go to Louie’s for a Michelin Star chef-led fine dining experience, you go to Louie’s for the soul. The French Toast has smoothed over many a bad day for me.
Gotta wrap up writing this review, my order should be arriving...
Read moreFirst things first I was disgusted with my food. I found a dust bunny with hair in my fries, luckily i saw it before i ate them.. the chilli sauce on my dogs had a bile like tast to it and was definitely stale. The person who served me seemed to care less about their job and had quite an attitude when i brought up my fri situation with them. He refused to replace it and said i had to pay to get another, tell me, why I would pay for new fries when y'all handed me them with hair and dust in em?? That's on y'all not me lmao. The cleanliness of the restaurant is very poor especially in the restrooms.. i feel this place needs to shut down. They were good in their prime. Their prime is over like 15 years past due.. at least that location is. "louises texas red hots, y'all need to get out before you go...
