The paved trail is narrow, short, and has no trees for shade. Not enough benches or picnic tables to accommodate the number of visitors. The splash pad is a glorified sprinkler system consisting of maybe five basic ground sprays in an area that’s about the size of my walk-in pantry - architecturally and artistically UN-inspired. No themes. No colors. No interactive play structures. It shuts off at 8 PM, well before sundown, and well before the park closes. Instead of soft-fall rubber in the toddler playground area, there is mulch. Mulch is messy and gets in the clothes, shoes, and eyes. Not to mention that mulch is combustible. Not great for an area frequently under severe drought conditions. People commonly bring their large dogs into the playground area. No clear rules posted about it. It’s a shame we have to drive into the city for better and safer...

Also, as of today (March 7, 2021) the bathrooms were closed and they had 2 port a pots by the parking lot. The sign on the bathroom says the closing is due to covid reasons, but could be due to recent freeze in the area?
Awesome park! Kids loved the playground, and I loved being able to walk the trail while they played. Big and clean! It's also next to the airport and they really enjoyed watching all the helicopters come and go. We will be back...
Read moreCan't really say much about this park. Went here at night to view the Neowise comet which is why I am writing the review. It was a decent spot not too far away to view the comet from :) If anyone nearby is tryi g to catch the comet in the last 3 days it's visible, this would be a decent spot. Seems the park was nicely set up, off the main drag, had some fun areas for kiddies and plenty of parking. A Gazebo area and restrooms. All in all, not a bad little area. My -1 star is because I believe the grass that the park is attached to is watered by a septic system. I am sure that the water is filtered very well before it's utilized for the grass but I wouldn't want to picnic on it...
