It used to be a very good store when I went there in early 2000's. Now sales are so convoluted it's difficult to get a good deal. Sales Sign reads items with bar codes on store tag are excluded from 50% off. Take a look at the store tag in attached photo. Do you see a barcode? Well neither do I! According to Mary Beth the sales associate the blue squiggles on the store price tags are barcodes and exempt from the 50% off sale. I pointed out this wasn't an industry standard UPC (Uniform Product Code) or Barcode so that means it's on sale in my mind. Mary Beth kept on repeating it was a new item from the warehouse and therefore an "asset" so it wasn't on sale. Whatever asset means is beyond me, I just know "Bait and Switch" when I see it... Otherwise, some great deals to be found on screen worn clothing. Still a lot are from background extras. Every once in a while you'll find something worn by an actor of note. Yet, caveat emptor: let the buyer beware. However, thanks to forums such as this, caveat venditor: let the seller beware... Overall, It's a Wrap Production is a neat store to find some gem's; nevertheless, my latest experience is very disappointing. Update: November 1st 2022, I went by the store a few days ago and they did change their signs to read the WMMW labeled tags are exempt from sales; however, they are still calling it a barcode when it is clearly handwritten. So, it is still a bit confusing. My last visit was much better. It still is a place to get Hollywood screen worn clothing for well below...
Read moreRecently I shopped at It's a Wrap and unfortunately I was reminded why I stopped shopping here. I needed to run into the store, get an outfits quickly as possible and head to an afternoon appointment. After finally finding something that would work, I entered the dressing room to try on my outfit and because I was running late I decided to run to the front desk and wear the clothes out of the store the young girl who was ringing up my order informed me that that that was not acceptable and that I would have to go back into the dressing room put on my street clothes bring the clothes back to the register so that she could ring them up and then remove the security tag that was on the clothes I explained to the young woman that I was running late and that I would appreciate any assistance you could provide me in getting that security tag off without having to go back into the dressing room disrobe and then get dressed all over again. She was not amused and once again reminded me that she could not sell me the garments unless she was able to remove the security tags and the only way she was going to do that as if I took the clothes off and then put them back on so I did I was late to my appointment and I'll never shop there again. ...
Read moreMostly junk tbh, even after digging for over an hour.
Most of the stuff is dirty.
Store has zero organizational structure at best.
Checking out was ridiculously slow. I felt like I stepped back in time watching the way the girl was painfully ringing things up via the hunt and peck keyboard method. When it was finally my turn, the girl looked me up and down and said "this bracelet is 24 dollars, are you sure you want this?". Maybe it was an innocent question, but it seemed like she was insinuating that I couldn't afford it based on the fact that I didn't dress to the nines to come shop in this musty, dusty hot box.
Also, there were no fitting room attendants.
Hard pass. Better designer clothing can be found at any other thrift store for a fraction of the prices in here.
Just because it was worn in a film or on TV doesn't mean damaged and filthy clothing is worth anything. Unless having items specific people wore is your thing, go to...
