DO NOT STAY HERE. ||When I first checked in, I parking was the first terrible thing. It was a tiny parking lot and it was difficult to maneuver getting back on the main road. Plus there was trash sitting on the outside of rooms and even a laundry basket next to mine to hold recycle. ||Secondly, I was given a different room than the one I stayed in. When I walked into the first room, I immediately noticed an awful smell. It smelt like vomit with bleach trying to mask the stench. I thought I was being dramatic, but then my husband walked in and immediately complained. ||We were able to switch rooms right next door. The smell was better, but the quality of the room was still terrible. Definitely not worth the price of what you pay - I paid nearly $140 a night for two nights (I wanted somewhere close to universal and close to Porto’s). First off, the rooms are TINY. The carpets look absolutely disgusting. Just filthy honestly. Hard to tell if it’s even been vacuumed or cleaned recently. The bottom of the sheets were stained. The knobs for the lights were broken. The light by the bathroom made a terrible noise the entire time it was on. The refrigerator stopped working halfway through the night so some of our food went bad. The bathroom was the worst part! I felt disgusting being in there. From the moment I walked in, I was grossed out. There was used toilet paper in the toilet. Black mold everywhere (ceilings and floor of shower). It was tiny and barely any room to move around. There was a crack in the wall of the shower and you can see more mold and other nasty particles. I didn’t even feel clean leaving the shower. Plus the hot water kept going out. Lastly, the walls are paper thin! I could hear everything from next door to outside. I was woken up by all of the other people staying who were slamming their doors and talking super loudly at 6 am. Not bothered by them but bothered by the fact that it almost seemed like their sounds were amplified by the hotel room. ||Please don’t stay here. It’s not...
Read moreI hate to give this hotel a low rating because it was perfect for us. We were picked up and dropped of at the airport free of any charge. The driver was helpful and friendly. The Travelodge is just a few minutes from the Bob Hope Burbank Airport and just a few minutes from the Warner brothers Studios where we were visiting. We used the Handicapped accessible room (109) which my wife, who uses a wheelchair, was VERY happy with. The bathroom was perfect for her and was clean and neat. There was a shower chair for her which you can see in the pictures. The water was very hot if you wanted it to be even when we took showers later in the morning. The path from the door to the bathroom was narrow but worked for us. I must say, however, that medium to large wheelchairs may not fit. The room itself although ready for new carpet and paint was neat and clean. There was a cold refrigerator and a perfectly good microwave and TV. The coffee pot was the standard hotel coffee pot. Maid service was good and the room was cleaned and reset nicely each day. One other important thing to mention is that the pipes make a bit of noise so if you are a light sleeper it may bother you in the morning/evening when people in the adjacent rooms are bathing. There is a great VERY authentic Mexican "restaurant" right in/next to the parking lot with tables out front under a overhang. There is no inside seating. (Pictures included.) If you are not familiar with authentic Mexican food you may not like the place but I thought the food was great and it reminded me of the food trucks in Houston that I have eaten at for years. Right across the road and down a bit is a Target and a CVS Pharmacy, a men's and women's barbershop, and some other shops and businesses. We were only 5-10 minutes from the Warner brother Studios and Lyft took us there for less than $10. If you are on a budget and not too picky then this is just the place for you. But if you are used to something upscale and modern,...
Read moreWow, I didn’t think that a hotel/motel in the City of Burbank could be this bad. But there were several problems with this TravelLodge on N Hollywood Way. Firstly, when I went up to the office door, it was locked. This was at 6:00pm. There was a bell at an outdoor counter window, which I rang three times. No answer. There was also a doorbell Ring camera that faced me. I rang that twice. Nothing. It took me knocking on the glass window to get the woman’s attention, who apparently was sitting in an adjacent room around the corner from the office. She looked startled when she finally realized that I had been waiting at the window. Secondly, the room heater was inoperative (room 103). Thirdly, the WiFi was terrible. I did three successive speed checks. All of them averaged 18 mpbs download, and 5 mbps upload. For anyone traveling on business or who needs to go onto the internet for any other reason, this is a deal breaker for you. It was difficult to even pull up Google for simple searches in this room. I don’t know if the WiFi transmitter is near the office, but this would mean that any rooms that are away from the office might have this same issue. Room 103 is somewhat distant from the office. Being on the ground floor, I could hear every foot step that the people above me took. The wood between their floor and my ceiling creaked with every move of theirs. Lastly, there are only so many parking spaces in the front side of the hotel, which is where I wanted my car, as opposed to at the rear of the hotel. This meant that in order to go to dinner, I elected to use an Uber than to risk losing a space at the front parking lot of the hotel. My feeling is that Wydham, a company I use a lot of travel, should extricate themselves from this property since it does not live up to the standards of a Wyndham property, but is rather like a Route 66 roadside motel, in my opinion. There is other lodging in Burbank. I will use one of those...
