My mother died almost 8 years ago after a very long, very difficult struggle with cancer and dementia. I took care of her. In the process of living entirely for someone else ( which I would do again in a heartbeat if I could) I completely lost myself. I stopped doing my hair, stopped dressing up, stopped wearing makeup and stopped feeling confidant in just about everything I did. This feeling continued throughout the 8 years after her death. I so wanted to be the cool, confidant, fun person I used to be but had no idea how to find her. She was long gone and I was too old to begin looking for her. Thank you so much Audrey and Andrea for seeing her in there somewhere and knowing how to call her out. I never would have found her without you. I buried her so deep and with your love and complete faith and belief in every person that walks through your door, you bring those lost souls home. We came to la from Canada for a vacation. We were walking downtown cause my fiancé loves vintage and wanted to see some of the local shops. Her store was closed that day so we decided to just peek in the windows. She happened to notice us and let us in to shop since we only had one day in town.
