UPDATE to their response They are not sorry to hear about my experience at all. The store originally offered a refund with no return of the dress to right their wrongs then rescinded that offer. One of the ladies on the phone made a comment stating " I saw you when you first came to pick up the dress and the snag wasnt even that big" shame on you for thinking thats appropriate to say when customer spend a lot of money on a dress. They did nothing to rectify a faulty dress from god knows what factory not associated with the designer. Businesses show their true colors when adversity hits and bon bon belle did. They may be good at responding to reviews but not actually helping their paying customers. Shame on them.
quite literally THE WORST place you could ever go to. The first time I went in to pick up my dress it had a snag right in the front on a part that was mesh. No bid deal. I ordered a new dress and when I went to go pick it up is was the worst quality dress I had ever seen and it was not the same size and the most important part of the dress was so messed up. The boning was sticking out of the front of the dress and the mesh attached to it was rippled and too much material was placed between each part of the boning. I was crying in the store cause I didn't have time to risk another order of the same dress with the same issues and enough time to get it altered. mind you I went in at the beginning of the year so no where close to last minute. My seamstress bless her soul did the best that she could and reassured me that that bon bon belle lied about the sizing and that it couldn't be totally fixed (the boning part). I called the store and told them the story they said they could refund me for the dress. This was after I found a tag that said made in China and an associate on the phone told me that the designers factories were in Taiwan, Ukraine, and Australia. The store manager finally called me back and said she no longer could offer a refund. I told her that this situation is completely unacceptable and that the store associate gaslit me the whole time. I was swimming in the dress by like 3-4 inches and the store associate said it was the same size. I showed her the photo from the first time I was to pick up the dress and how it fit and she said the designer works with a 1/2 an inch I said this isn't a half an inch. I then made her resize me because she asked if I lost weight and sure enough I measured the exact same from when I FIRST came in to try on dresses. The store associate made me feel like I had to take the dress and was basically telling me that was i was looking at in the mirror wasn't actually there. The manager on the phone said she talked to a seamstress and they said that it could have been fixed and I responded and said how does she know she could have fixed it if she never saw the dress???? no shock she had nothing to say to that. I asked her if she expected me to fly on my own dime to her seamstress that said she could 'fix' the dress her response was well idk where you live. She repeatedly was saying "I'm not sure why you keep saying you were gaslit." The manager was so incredibly rude and unprofessional. Stay far far away from this place they made my experience horrible throughout this process. hope this all made sense a lot of sadness trying to explain all the details. The manager ended with "well there's nothing I can do for you...
Read more5 stars does not do this place justice! From beginning to end, my experience was flawless. The building and setting of the store are just beautiful! Which really makes it feel like this is the big, special, beautiful day that you’re shopping for. I’ve been dreaming of this day for years, but when it came to actually being there, I felt so nervous and overwhelmed at all of the dress options. As soon as we got started, my consultant Sarah put my mind at ease. As I was feeling like I was blabbering like a fool with the styles I thought I liked (not knowing any of the terms), she decoded everything I meant and came back with so many absolutely beautiful dresses!! The dressing area was right in the seating area for my friends and family, so I was able to try on a LOT of dresses (all of which I really liked) as it didn’t take any time walking back and forth. Sarah stayed within my budget, but asked me if I was okay with trying on dresses slightly above (which I was). She was very respectful of the price I was wanting to stick around. Sarah had the dresses laid out so nicely I was able to step in, pull it up, she would clip me in and I was ready to see another dress! I tried on about 12 dresses, (some more than once) with two that were not my style. Meant to be palate cleansers. Which was amazing! Because the dresses were all fairly similar it was really nice to see something different. HOWEVER, I fell absolutely in love with the second one, which was a lot more plain than what I thought I wanted. Sarah’s selections were absolutely fantastic, and I felt the whole time that she was genuinely caring, and very helpful. She was so sweet and so happy for me when I said yes to my dress! The sizing process was awesome, as they have two different people take measurements to be certain. I was so in awe of the dress I picked I did not want to take it off! But they let me run over my appointment time to bask in it for just a couple minutes longer, as I picked that dress at the very end of my appointment slot. Which gave a very caring feel, versus a “next” feeling. Upon checking out everybody at the desk was so genuine in their joy for me and it was just all such a great experience. I would 300% recommend Bon Bon Belle to EVERYBODY I know. And I’m sorry this turned in to such a long review, but I’m just so stinking happy with my experience there!! Such an amazing job by Sarah, and all of the staff there! Thank you...
Read moreI came here with my daughter to pick out her wedding dress. It was a great initial experience and she found one she loved and they measured her and ordered it. When we went to pick it up we dealt with someone different from our first appointment. She tried it on but it wasn’t zipped up and when I questioned why I was told it wasn’t a bit snug but not to worry, when we take it for alterations they will be able to give another 1-2” easy. I should have said nope and had them reorder a size up knowing that it is always easier to take in a dress than let one out, but I trusted their “expertise”. Fast forward to July for her first fitting with an amazing seamstress and due to the material and layers of the dress she was able to do very little to let it out and now it going to cost $$$ to get creative so she can feel comfortable and beautiful in her dress. I did reach out to Callie at Bon Bon Belle via email but have yet to receive a reply. Just so incredibly disappointing and stressful for my daughter but if it helps any future brides out there dress shopping…always size up if it is feeling snug.
Update: I resent my email per Callie’s request but a week later still no response. I called the store because the seamstress wanted me to get some extra material to work with. They were apologetic and said they had 5 yards of material that was a very close match to the dress so we went and picked that up. When we took it to the seamstress she held it up to the dress and it was the wrong color. The dress comes in two colors. At that point we are in tears and the seamstress assures us she has lace that is such a close match that no one will know. A week later we picked up our dress from Maria Artega in West Allis and she had done a beautiful job. The dress fit perfect and you couldn’t tell it had been altered at all. Unfortunately, that perfection cost me an additional $1200. When you go to buy a wedding dress and tell them what your budget it is, it is a disappointment beyond words that I had to pay such an egregious amount for alterations that had to be done due to Bon Bon Belle’s error. They have beautiful dresses but I cannot comfortably recommend them to someone I know because I would not want them to have the same...
