Five Below — Attraction in Burlington

I remember when customer service was a priority in a business establishment...... Now it appears to just be a run-of-the-mill. I understand that it takes One bad Apple to spoil the bunch. It's just truly unfortunate that you have a self-checkout section and one cashier to be able to take each person and check their items out at several different machines. Not only is it an inconvenience to those that have to wait in line but it is definitely a defeated purpose. I'm not sure when this new policy has started but I can probably guarantee that sales will continue to drop. If that is a major concern that maybe an investment in security or sensor tags would be more of a feasible result than what has been chosen. Just...

I brought my little one in here to get something he wanted as a treat for being good and the staff here was so nice. One star off for the price of some of the stuff. Some of it you could get at the dollar tree for almost the exact same thing but there are some neat finds in here that I did not expect. The candy section (which I def did not expect) was similar to what you see at Party City as well. Word to the wise though, don’t bring a child in here unless you are prepared to say no A LOT. Please do not come to this store if you’re a person of color. I’ve been to this store many times and all the times i’ve been in the store, i have felt personally uncomfortable. Due to the fact that some of the workers always tend to follow me around and always stare at me, as if i was going to steal something. Knowing that i’m not a person that steals because I wasn’t raised like that. I feel that some of these 5 below workers tend to follow me around inside the store to see what i am doing because i am darker skin, which i believe makes them assume i will steal something.
