Our experience at First Watch in Burlington NC was fantastic. We had the pleasure to be there for the soft opening. The team was highly attentive and very warm. Everyone was in great spirits, and they seemed like they were proud of the work they were doing together.
We started with million dollar bacon. It was plated very nicely and was delicious. It had quite a kick because of the heavy covering of black pepper - my fave! I loved it, but if you have a sensitive pallet you might think twice.
I had the lemon ricotta pancakes which were delicious. I have never had pancakes so fluffy. They were exceptional! The syrup was served warm which is such a fantastic touch. I ordered a side of bacon and it was great.
My partner ordered the avocado BLT eggs benedict and a side of fruit. The fruit bowl was gorgeous, and a heaping serving for $6. The Benedict was delicious and the portion was great. She commented that she expected more avocado since it was the feature of the dish, but overall she would order it again.
The standard drip coffee was wonderful. You can tell they take that seriously. I also ordered a mint mocha - it was very good, and looked exactly like the picture of it on the table advertisement.
With our extra sides & coffee drink our total was $55. The entrees were between $10-$15, so expect about $20 per person all in.

Read moreWaited a little under an hour...understandable, they are new and busy. Got to our table and ordered our food. I finished my water. Waited for a refill that never came. When our food came it was dropped off but we couldn't eat it because we didn't have silverware. After multiple minutes I got up and went to the host stand to ask for silverware and if they could have our waiter stop at our table. They said they were out if silverware and someone was going to get some. I went back to my table and waited more than 5 minutes. Finally a manager came after a customer told him we asked for silverware and still hadn't received any. I didnt realize the manager brought our table of 4 only 2 forks when he was there I politely asked if he could get me a refill. He was kind enough to bring a pitcher of water. After he dropped the water I realized we still needed 2 forks. I went to the host stand. No one was there to ask for silverware so I went back to my table. Waited a few more minutes and my server came by. I asked for 2 forks and he brought them. By the time I ate was food was room temperature. Wasn't a good first experience. May try and longer down the road when they...
Read moreI stopped in here last week for lunch and was immediately impressed with the atmosphere, which boasts a clean, crisp farmhouse aesthetic with lots of white and rustic wood accents. It was only my lunch partner and me, and we were seated at a two-person table with super comfy chairs--a nice touch! I know, I know. But what about the food, right? The food was excellent. I ordered the BLT Benedict because I love hollandaise sauce but hate making it. The eggs were poached to perfection, and the sauce boasted a refreshing zip of lemon. The spring greens were tasty but slightly underdressed, and we ended up requesting additional dressing. The service was excellent, and I love that you can pay using the QR code on the receipt too. It's super convenient. My lunch buddy got the roast beef sandwich, which I also tasted, and it was super yummy too. We both always drink water, and they serve it in this old-school glass milk container with the glasses, so you can keep pouring for yourself. This is such a smart idea because I hate having to wait for a server to notice my glass is empty. Definitely...
