Update 01/24: Was looking forward to dinner out tonight... Fully disappointed. I can understand them being busy on a Friday night, didn't have an issue when the estimated 15 minute wait turned into 30, and ended up being closer to 45, not a problem. Other people who were behind us getting seated first? It is what it is. It's a busy night. No. My problem is with the dough we were served instead of bread, pale uncooked. I nicely pointed this out to our waitress, and she fixes it. All good, not going to let a small accident ruin the night. My fiance's silverware was dirty with leftover food still on it. Cactus blossom was a lightly fried raw onion. Salads were watery, flavorless, and unsatisfying. My steak, which I ordered medium, came out rare. So I politely asked for it to be refired, that's it, didn't ask to be comped, or discounted, just asked for my steak to be a little more done. Waitress says "oh so you wanted it well done"... No I wanted it medium, not rare. At this point the only things we have complained to staff about is the raw bread. Yet the waitress is treating us like we are the most complicated people ever, and a manager comes over and very aggressively asks me if my steak was okay after they actually finished cooking it (which took 20 minutes btw). We are beyond disappointed and upset with the service we received today. We always please and thank you and pride ourselves on being the easy table (normally I never send food back, but I have issued eating meat that is fully pink, if it had been over cooked I wouldn't have said anything). We will hazard to go back when there are so many other good food options in the area. So disappointing. The thing that bothers me the most is the aggressive manager when my steak came back, I shouldn't have to face fight or flight instincts because of staff, at a restaurant where we are paying an average of $30-40 a person, especially when there are legitimate quality control problems. Just go somewhere else, this place isn't worth it anymore.
So my fiancé and I were able to go on a date night without the kids, and it was amazing! We waited 30 minutes at 7:30 on a Friday (which is pretty good all things considered) ALL the wait staff, from the lady running the line, to the host, to our waitress were exemplary! Our server Jacklyn was phenomenal! She was knowledgeable about the mixed drinks, made a great recommendation (cowboy something or other) and it was delicious! She was very attentive, but not in an annoying way. The music was great so I was dancing in my chair, so she came up to check on us dancing a little, matching the vibe. I honestly could not have asked for a better night, it's so much easier to enjoy a night out when you are surrounded by great people. We will be going back again soon! (With our fingers crossed we get sat in Jacklyn's...
Read moreI've always received excellent service at the Texas Roadhouse in Burlington.
The service we received last night went from mildly upsetting to terrible.
First, I joined the wait list via the Yelp app. The app was experiencing some technical difficulties so it wasn't showing up on the restaurants end that I had joined the wait list. Staff then had to add me to the waitlist again when I arrived.
Once my party and I were seated, we noticed the pen and receipt from the previous customer was still on the table. Our plates and napkins were sitting on it. With the current state of the world, infection control is imperative.
They were super busy so it took a while for our waiter to take our drink order, once I received my drink, a Coca-Cola, at first taste it tasted salty, the saltiness then turned into a funny taste. I suspect it might've been detergent. Our waiter brought me a new drink.
Then when my salad came out, I noticed my side of the table hadn't been properly cleansed as there was food stuck on the table. Our waiter had one of the staff members who clears the tables to clean our table. Initially he was spraying the cleaner on his towel, he then sprayed the cleaner directly on the table and while he did try to be careful, my nose and foot was sprayed, I wasn't certain that the cleaner didn't touch my salad so I requested for it to be made again and it was.
We ordered an appetizer and it took awhile to receive it. In fact, I received my salad before we received our appetizer.
I ordered the country fried chicken. I received the country fried sirloin. Our waiter corrected the mistake. My friend requested to have the country fried sirloin since they were going to throw it away. Initially the manager agreed, but, then she said she could give it to her for half off which I agreed to pay for since I was treating my friend to a birthday dinner.
The greatest issue is when they brought out the other salad. IT HAD A PACKET OF BENADRYL IN IT!! My friend and I were in utter disbelief. Our waiter was very embarrassed and apologetic. We overheard staff discussing it and apparently THE MANAGER HAD TAKEN BENADRYL.. WHILE IN THE KITCHEN!! This is absolutely unacceptable and a huge liability issue!! Her actions had the potential to bring harm and my friend and I were very understanding about it, but, as medical professionals, we know this had the potential to be bad as benadryl can be sedating. The worse part is the manager didn't even come over and apologize. I don't know that I'll ever go back to this establishment again, my experience was truly disappointing.

Read moreI went with my family party of 10.When we arrived we were told that the wait would be one hour and a 1/2. While waiting a family with a party of 25 arrived and was seated prior to my family though there are no advanced reservations per covid restrictions. Once our party was seated we realized we could not sit in unity but had to separate between 2 booths because they don't have table size enough to fit 10 people. This was nothing that the door staff let us know ahead of time. Permitting us the option to look elsewhere most parties sit together as a unity and do not have to separate. There was nothing they can do to accommodate us. They had tables that set 8 people and came out further than the booth that they brought us to meaning the party would have been closer together we were not offered that booth instead the party after us was put there. There was no actions towards accommodating or getting us to sit together and a few of the waitresses and manager seem to have very reactive facial expressions and words to say under their breath about my family as we tried to sort things out and no we were not disrespectful just confused at this unfamiliar process. We decided to stay and the dining experience DIDN'T help. We received our appetizers around 20min in began to eat them and when done, realized we had never been served water or brought out a drink from our orders. I had to make "Danielle" the manager aware. We were served by a young lady named Kelly who did her best she was sweet. We had to request to get our bread/rolls which were brought out 5 min before the actual dinner. A family member ordered a drink with extra shot during the first 5 min we sat down. She received her drink after I mentioned to the manager we had no drinks not even water. To our surprise the first drink did not include the extra shot and was brought out totally separate. They literally brought the shot as we were requesting for the receipts, where is the disconnect. And to seal the deal We did order food to go as well as request it for a few take out trays for the food that we ate dine in. The waitress Kelly brought the orders to go and takeout trays, while checking we also received a Styrofoam Box with half eaten cheesecake and a fork that did not belong to anyone at the table and we would have bagged that up and took that home had we not looked. This experience was by far one of the worst that I have had. The level of service and care that was provided after such a long wait and direct miscommunication from the staff went by...
