Olive Garden Italian Restaurant — Restaurant in Burlington

Update, 11-4-24 Last night, Brandon wasn't working. The waitress we got was very pleasant but super slow and unconcerned about our needs. Its never ending soup, salad, pasta, etc. I finished my soup, and it was some time before the waitress showed up again. When she did, she was delivering our meal. She never asked if we wanted more soup. Hence, it was not endless. I ordered one of the endless pasta dishes, it was awesome but same thing, I completely finished my meal and she didn't appear the entire time we were eating to check on us, nor did she ask if I wanted more when she did finally come to our table, and seemed surprised when I asked for more. She said it won't be a big dish like the first one. It will be a lunch size dish. I'm sorry, Bottomless is Bottomless. It means you keep serving food until the guest has had enough, and you dont make the guest wait between plates of food. When a guest is halfway through, you ask if they want more, but she couldn't because she was so slow to check on us. Red Lobster did the same thing, rarely asked if you wanted more, & they are now closed. My wife had some leftover dinner and soup, so I asked for take out containers. She left to get them, then came back to the next booth, giving them food but no box for us. This happened several times when we asked for something. She would leave to get it for us, then reappear, giving one of the other guests things, and sometimes leave and come back again to another table, then leave again, bringing us nothing. Each time she came to anothers table, she wouldn't check on the others around her she was serving. She never asked if we wanted our check, so we ended up having to use their machine sitting on the table, and it had the audacity to suggest a 20% tip!!! Tips are given for good service period, nothing else. This tip thing is getting out of control. Depending on service, I have tipped as little as nothing to as much as 200%. If they want that kind of tip, they need to learn from Brandon how to do their job. The food is always outstanding, the place is clean, and the way it's designed & laid out, even though the place is huge, the design gives one a sense of privacy & intimacy. In our opinion, it's one of the two best places to eat in Burlington. In the past, we got Brandon. He was OUTSTANDING! We go out to eat often, and rarely do we get the level of service Brandon gave us the other time we went here. We wanted for nothing. Please give Brandon more working hours and please please let him teach the others how to do their job. Last night's meal should have been awesome, but due to the oh so slow lack of service, by the time we left, we were in no rush to return. Please fix this. Thank you. I give 2 stars for service, and that's generous, 1 for getting our meals correct, a second star for her very pleasant attitude. She was very nice, she just needs to put a lot more effort into her job, this restaurant...

Fathers Day. My adult son and daughter treated me to what we hoped would be a fancy, unique dining experience. The best part of the evening was being seated fairly quickly. After that, the very damp tile floor was the first indication that things may not go as hoped. The room we were placed in might as well have been the dining area of a run down Burger King. For a restaurant that prides itself on having good ambiance, it was too loud, too cramped and too 'busy'. The atmosphere ( the actual air) felt damp. The men's room has disgusting; paper towels overflowing from the trash cans, and strewn throughout the room and on the counters and in the sink. The floor was wet , not only around the urinals but everywhere...even beyond the outside of the door. The counter was covered in large splats of water. The table where we were seated was too narrow and short to hold the large plates. The seats of our booth were uncomfortable and the two of us sitting on one side constantly bumped elbows. We felt stuffed into the place. Our waitress was nice and to a point attentive. When she brought my beer...she passed the table in a hurry, stopping 2 seconds to put a bottle of beer down. No glass. The beer was cold and I don't mind being served with bottles or cans...in some joint that isn't pushing a refined atmosphere. When our two giant bowls of salad and plate of bread sticks arrived they took up most of the table. My daughter and I found human hairs in our salad. We politely showed them to our waitress. She apologized and offered to have new salads made. No thanks. We were then offered free dessert. I didn't even want that but my son and daughter convinced me to to accept the offer. Our meals arrived and the plates were wedged among the water glasses, bread plate, salad bowls, and salad plates. There was nothing special about the spaghetti with meat sauce. I ordered it with sausage. The waitress read it back to me and said, 'with sausage'. It arrived without sausage...since the addition of sausage did not increase the price, I didn't say anything. I and my kids were, by then, just wanting to get a bit of food into our bellies and leave. We needed fresh air and open spaces. A manager came out to apologize for the hair in the salads...and to offer 'A' free dessert to one of us. ONE of us, even though 2 of us had hairs in our salads and the other couldn't enjoy his salad or main entre because of the hair and the uncomfortable surroundings in general. We settled for a small slice of cheesecake...the kids said it was OK. You'll notice that we stayed and ate despite the complaints. However we left behind all the salads and we took three large meals home to our pets. For the prices we paid we would have done better going to any of several real Italian resaurants in the area, getting better food and service in a clean, open atmosphere and paying...

5/6/2023 Tracey is the manager tonite and Andy is our server. Soup and salad for my wife and chicken parm for me. Chicken is perfectly crispy and plenty of flavor. Minestrone soup was delicious. Great meal as allways.

Jordan was our server this evening. Wonderful personality! Wrong soup, but switched it out, and we take home the other. Then he brought a third to go home. Now have tomorrow's meal. Always an exceptional place to eat and relax. Thanks guys... needed that

Always enjoy OG! The food is excellent, best Bloody Mary ever, and amazing endless salad. Our waitress Tracy was attentive, but not overbearing which is a pet peve of mine. It's very popular, so anticipate a little wait time, but once seated there was very little waiting. Highly recommend!

Sort of got forgotten, but Manager In Training McKenzie found us, took excellent care of us, and gave us some free stuff. I had the Tour of Italy. It was amazing, as well as the Bloody Mary. Come in... check it out!

Had another good Bloody Mary. Waitress tonite was Ayana. Excellent service and friendly. Did overwhelm use but was attentive. Chicken parmesan and salad. Nice portion, and just crispy enough. Come enjoy...

Tracy was our server today. Friendly and helpful, but again, not overbearing. Pasta done nicely. All of us had dishes with fried chicken that had good flavor and crispy. Lasgna was a bit bland, but the rest was fine. Another good Bloody Mary and Merlot. ...
