This is going to be long.
My first few experiences at this location were ok. Just as others have mentioned, expect for a wait (inside or drive-thru). Also, you're more than likely going to deal with employees that have ZERO customer service abilities. A lot of customer service is common sense. Apparently that is lacking from almost every person I've dealt with at this location.
The only reason I continue to frequent this location is because I have had good experiences with the food itself. (Also, I'm not sure of another smoothie shop this close to my house.) Well that has recently changed. My last THREE orders have been messed up.
Apparently employees have recently became unaware that they have a VEGGIE HUMMUS WRAP on the menu. The last 3 times I have had chicken put in my wrap. And of course I order at the drive through and do not realize until I am home. After the 2nd time I called the store and no one answered. I even left a message and I never received a call back.
John (The Owner) are you aware you are losing money?? I know you are aware of the MULTIPLE complaints about your restaurant. You always reply with "I'm sorry, we will do better..." but still complaints roll in time after time. What are you really doing to change things?? What are you teaching your employees?? Do you just hire anybody or is there an actual screening process?? I'm completely dumbstruck over the constant lack of customer service and the inability to run such a restaurant. I've worked customer service before (retail and food) its truly not that hard. Yet, you're establishment fails almost daily.
Lastly, my friends and co-workers visit your Google reviews frequently just to laugh. We have all had below par experiences at your establishment, so we can relate to the majority of your reviews. Is this what you want for your business? To be a laughing stock? I'm honestly amazed that you have the few good reviews that you do. It honestly makes me question if these are...
Read moreIâve been a regular customer for a year now, the food and smoothies are amazing, but unfortunately, only for the past few months, the service and cleanliness of the place has drastically tanked.
Having experience in the fast food business, I can tell when a business is heavily mismanaged. Even looking at some of the employees work, they look like they donât want to be there. I do not know if itâs their lack of experience in manual labor like this, if they are being overworked, or they have issues going on in their personal lives to make them act this way. As of late, on busy days, Iâve been seeing very few employees behind the counter working the store. I honestly donât know what else to say other than how embarrassing their poor staffing is negatively affecting their service quality.
Only a few days ago, I ordered and they ran out of big cups, there must have been some serious mismanagement with stocking their store rooms on time, ESPECIALLY on days when there are floods of customers coming in for lunch.
On how I think they can improve their store: Either keep hiring new people, INSTRUCT them properly on how to take care of the store; both the lobby, kitchen, and/or storeroom. Or shut this place down, because Iâve been seeing other reviews of people getting plastic bits and glass in their smoothies.
I am giving this place a single star because Tropical Smoothie Cafe makes great food and smoothies. But it pains me to void out the rest of the 4 stars, because of how poorly they are running this store at the...
Read moreI very rarely officially complain about a restaurant experience, but this one was just so frustrating, I felt I had to. Firstly, we walked into the store to order, and were told that we couldn't order in store, we had to use the app or go through the drive through (the lady who told us this wasn't very friendly about it). So we downloaded the app, and continued to get an error with "processing the basket" (unfortunately it not explaining what the issue was). Since the app wasn't allowing us to order, we got in the drive through line, which took around 30 to 40 minutes. After getting to the window to order, we were told that they're out of Splenda. If we had known this from the beginning, we would've never got into the line. When trying to place our order, the lady taking the order wasn't super rude, just not friendly at all. Very rushed attitude like "c'mon, let's get this over with!" At this point, since we had already spent so much time on the process, we ordered the smoothie with half turbinado sugar since the Splenda was out. The smoothie turned out to be terrible, we didn't even end up drinking it. Overall, pretty much every element of this trip was extremely disappointing. I dont expect to ever come here again. We went to McDonald's immediately afterwards and got a much better smoothie, and that's saying something since McDonald's doesn't exactly have the...
