Gutterson Fieldhouse — Attraction in Burlington

I love the Cats, I hate the seats. It's hard to imagine wood being so uncomfortable. I don't know what kind of wood they used for the seats. Maybe it was a softer wood 70 years ago when the auditorium was built. But after thousands of boney Vermont butts, the seats are harder than Rock. The seating is not very comfortable, the flow of traffic and parking isn't the greatest and UVM doesn't seem very invested in their Men's hockey team. So far the changes have done little to improve the experience. It's no fun to pay hundreds of dollars to sit on a board and watch your team lose. Maybe further improvements to the building and the team will bring the Gut back...

We were let in at ticket gate. Afterwards, security approached us and demanded to know who let us in, because we had a hand bag that was apparently against the rules. Security was abrasive and rude.
