Having stayed at this hotel a few years ago, I was looking forward to another great experience. Although I was staying at a highly discounted rate again, unfortunately, this time, it was different. I sleep lightly and usually request a quieter room if available. Last time, I was thrilled to have been upgraded to a suite based on my Choice Privileges status, but this time my room was one of the smallest in the building, with the elevator right across the hall and a utility room that made noise every night around 9ish. Okay, no worries, maybe they're busy, and this was one of the only rooms available, though the parking lot was only partially full and breakfast wasn't crowded. The main disappointment was the room. Upon entering, there was a distinct odor, which was a blend of marijuana and old food. The refrigerator was unplugged, and, sure enough, when I opened it, there was a rancid plate of Chinese noodles inside left from the previous guest. Disgusting, yes, but again, no worries, I'll just throw it out and turn on the AC to diminish the smell. I did tell the front desk, and they did offer to change my room or come up with some deodorizer, but I was settled in, and it was my choice to stay. The hotel is nice, and the location is very convenient to downtown Burlington, the lakefront, and the attractions in Shelburne, eyc., but the rooms are tired, worn, and not as well cleaned as they once were. Furniture is scratched and worn, the headboard and TV screen were dirty, the desk lamp rusted, the microwave wasn't cleaned, and mold spots were beginning to appear in the shower. Really a downturn from the last time I stayed. Would I stay here again? Yes. But I'm hoping it gets back to the great place it once was. It seems to just need a little capital improvement and a lot more attention to detail. I hope it gets the love it deserves and makes a comeback.

Stayed here in an emergency situation since our dad was rushed to the ER in Burlington. Checked in after midnight so didn’t have much of a choice. They charged us $300!! We stayed in room 513. The room was not clean- there was spilled salt or sugar or drugs all over the counter, the information cards stuck to the desks- every surface was sticky and tacky. Literally had to peel my phone off of the desk. The halls reeked of smoke and there was a high pitch buzzing in the hall from the ice machine or something - I tried to turn the fan on to cover up the noise, however the thermostat and fan buttons didn’t work. The room was right on the road and the blinds didn’t close so the street light glared through the window all night. Carpet was definitely not vacuumed, tv had greasy handprints all over it. Honestly skeeved out to have stayed in that bed considering the rest of the room didn’t appear to have been cleaned at all and not in a long time. Especially since the sheets were half tucked under the bed and half ripped out. I wonder how many guests stayed in the same sheets before us. Also the top blanket was made out of paper. Very poor quality - walls were stained, and dirty. Feel just ripped off and upset. If you have a choice I wouldn’t stay here. The homewood suites next door looks a lot nicer, but they didn’t have vacancy. This company simply takes advantage of desperate people.

Best part of a terrible day. My flight at BTV was cancelled a few hours before departure and the airlines were awful in helping rebook, but that's a different story. I had to find last-minute lodging for the night and comfort inn was the only place available that offered free 24 hour airport shuttle service for under $250. I booked the room at 7PM for $157 and called and received a shuttle 15 minutes later. The desk staff were extremely sympathetic and scheduled the shuttle for me the next day and put together a breakfast bag for me to pickup in the morning since I was leaving before breakfast hours. My room was clean and larger than I was expecting for the price, with a kitchenette, microwave, fridge, and plenty of extra room (see photos). Bed was comfortable and no issues with any appliances. The only downside to note is there did not appear to be any permanent A/C, and only a portable window unit that wasn't hooked up. It was a cool night so I didn't have a need for it, so I cannot comment on room temperature control. This is also within 10-15 minutes walk from the University mall, target, grocery stores, and restaurants/bars/fast food. If you're on a budget or looking for inexpensive, clean lodging with airport access and wonderful customer service, you should consider this Comfort Inn.

I was switch to three different rooms, each room worse then the next. First night we arrive the bed sheets were covered in yellow stains and some sort of wad of paper towel stuck to the carpet. The next room they put us in was also not even cleaned properly. The outlet with the fire alarm was removed and the wires were hanging out of the ceiling. Dust was covered everywhere, and that bathroom sink did not DRAIN. The next room they put us in was a suit. That room only had a king bed and a pull out. I let my two girls sleep there and I slept on the pull out. The room had a non functional kitchen sink that leaked under the cabinet. There was a trash can filled with old rotten bananas and yogurt cups. When I pulled out the trash NATS flew out and we had to stay in a room with them for the next three nights. The blow drier was non functional because it started sparking. The AC was non functional you could not figure out what room the temperature was actually on. The pull out mattress had sticky stuff underneath it and popcorn under the sofa. After driving 8 hrs., I was so exhausted I gave up. The lady at the front desk tried her best but there was no more rooms. I slept so uncomfortable on that sofa. I did not pay to sleep on one which is one makes this so frustrating. Beware of the second floor it smells like MOLD, our first to rooms were on the second floor. This place was just a nightmare. I do not...
