⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ An Unforgettable Wedding Stay at The Blind Tiger
The Perfect Pre-Wedding Retreat in Burlington, VT
My now-husband and I had the absolute pleasure of spending three magical nights at The Blind Tiger in the days leading up to our wedding, and I cannot say enough wonderful things about our experience. From the moment we first contacted the hotel, the exceptional service began.
Outstanding Service from Day One Before we even arrived, the team went above and beyond to ensure our stay would be perfect. Special thanks to Paige, who was incredibly warm, welcoming, and accommodating throughout the entire process. Her attention to detail and genuine care made all the difference during what can be a stressful time for any couple.

Read moreThe facade of the Blind Tiger Burlington is majestic and inviting, welcoming you to a beautiful old house tucked in the trees near downtown. Upon entry, you ring a bell in the foyer to summon the staff to orient you and give you your keys. That's one place where the Blind Tiger really knocks it out of the park -- the staff seems very invested, caring, practical, and dedicated to making sure you have the best experience possible. The location is great for walkers, too -- downtown isn't right across the street, but it's a decent (beautiful) stroll through residential neighborhoods (if you're comfortable with a 10-15 minute walk). As a coffee connoisseur, their morning coffee is among the best I've had at a hotel or b&b, and for those who want it around the clock, they have french presses, hot water, and everything you need to stay caffeinated around the clock. They also keep a nice selection of snacks out for guests to enjoy anytime. The morning breakfast was fine -- the presentation is huge, spread across a giant dining table, but when it came down to it, there wasn't a lot of variety there -- quite a few processed items. It's included in the rate, so I can't complain much, but don't expect to be wowed. Finally, our room was well appointed but had no TV and was in the middle of an air-conditioning renovation. We noticed visible gaps between the window air unit and the outside. As a result, we had a fly infestation in our room (The Mini Bar room) on our last night -- house flies and drain flies. Upon speaking to management the next morning, they were very apologetic and vowed to take care of the problem. However, the last night was not comfortable, and for the price we paid, I can't in good faith give them 5 stars. So 4 it is. This property is definitely worth considering when planning a short stay...

The property is huge with a beautiful expansive yard and flower/vegetable garden in the back, complete with Adirondack chairs for lounging. You can also stay inside and observe the lovely yard from the light filled sunroom, from which an incredible breakfast (with 3 menu options daily and many ingredients fresh from the garden) is served.
There is a plate of fresh cookies kept stocked from each afternoon into the evening — with a different cookie each day. Hot or cold coffee, tea, hot chocolate, cold water and lemonade are also available all day.
The rooms are pretty quiet, outside of a few creaks from an old building - and the staff is very focused on guests’ comfort. I’m very sensitive to noise and was woken our first morning by a frequently used kitchen door directly below our room. So we mentioned it to staff. By the next morning there was a sign on the door asking users to close it softly, and a cloth napkin rigged to muffle any sound should it be let to slam shut. It didn’t wake me again!
The room was a decent size as was our private bathroom, which was directly across the hall—and we were provided with robes that were nice for going from the room to bathroom.
It’s very well located— just a 15 minute walk to all of the great restaurants and shops in the town.
My husband and I brought our bikes and had a locked place to store them...a really nice benefit. We highly recommend...
