Beautiful little museum and historic buildings nestled on the edge of downtown Burnet, Tx. Absolutely free but they do accept donations. Ample parking and the volunteers are lovely to talk to about the history of the area. Enjoy walking around and seeing what it was like to live back in the early years of Texas. Enjoy! πππ

Excellent..will update later...riding Bus today around Rural Areas toward Austin [comes from Marble Falls: see Brass Hall & Bluebonnet Cafe reviews] But few pics! Make sure to go Thurs.-Sat. 10-4. Great stuff & history here, large outside cabins and homestead area out back!!! Sadly no BEEMAN Garden Tractors...next time?

We got there a bit late today due to the Lonhorn Caverns. Its worth the trip to come to this little town to see the history of the fort and there are a lot of old buildings. From the outside driving by, it doesnt look like much, but once you go in, you will be surprised.

Wonderful little museum. If you go during the bluebonnet airshow, you'll see vintage airplanes fly over head
