I recently had the misfortune of dining at hacienda el charro aka the thief , and I am absolutely appalled by the deceptive practices and disrespectful treatment I received. Not only did they charge me for items I never received, but they also had the audacity to charge for the simplest things—like grilling onions! From the start, the menu seemed confusing, and it was hard to tell what was included in my meal. I ordered a basic dish, expecting standard sides and toppings, but when I got the bill, I was shocked to see charges for extras I hadn’t even requested. For instance, I was billed for grilled onions that were never served to me—something so basic, yet they tried to charge me as if it were a luxury topping. When I brought this up to the server, they were dismissive and unhelpful, and the manager didn’t even have the decency to address my concerns. Instead of apologizing or offering a solution, I was treated as if I were the problem. It felt like the restaurant was more focused on overcharging than providing quality service or food. But the worst part was the lack of transparency. They added charges to my bill without explaining them, and when I questioned what I was being charged for, I was met with vague answers and a lot of defensiveness. It’s clear that they’ve built their business model on misleading customers and sneaking in hidden fees for things you didn't order. To top it all off, the food was underwhelming at best. I’ve had better meals at fast food chains. If they can’t even get something as simple as grilled onions right, it’s no wonder their customer service is so poor. I would highly advise anyone considering this place to avoid it at all costs. There are plenty of other restaurants that value their customers, provide honest pricing, and actually know how to treat people with respect. This was by far one of the worst dining experiences I've ever had. I won't be coming back, and I strongly recommend you don’t either. Rating: 1/5 (because 0 stars isn’t an option) If you want to spend 50$ on a burrito that looks smaller than there chests come here

I went here for the first time a few weeks ago after church and wow going out to eat at this place was the right move. I had the best mexican food i’ve ever tasted, the display of food was beautiful too, and the workers were so kind and patient. When I was checking out these customers were trying to make the workers seem horrible and I listened in on the conversation. The workers were being so polite and understanding while the two women were trying to get their food discounted because “the workers added extra stuff on their tab” when they clearly ordered it and they also complained about how long it took to get seated. The worker talked to her and explained everything to the ladies in a polite manner. ( I would’ve been so mad at those women for being so disrespectful ) Also of course it’s going to take a while to get seated if ur at a smaller restaurant right after church ended. But anyways the food was incredible and the workers were all so amazing. I completely recommend this place if ur craving mexican food! (the picture is after I ate of course)

I tried to come here for breakfast but ended up ordering lunch instead (breakfast was still available) I was told by a local that this place doesn’t look like much from the outside but is quite delicious and he wasn’t wrong. Really enjoyed my visit here. Their salsa they serve with the food changed my life, they serve house made chips and salsa which were delicious. I did order a bacon egg and cheese sandwich which was fantastic and cheap. I did order the Asado Con Queso and to be honest the meat didn’t quite do it for me but it was still good, there was just a few bites that bummed me out a bit. The enchiladas were delicious and all and all I’m dying to come back to truly eat the breakfast. Also their fajitas I saw someone order that fajitas and they look great. We had a great time, servers were all great and I felt the prices were good. Only notes were the asada meat and the beans and rice were skimpy for sure. Great place, love their salsa, which they sell by the way!

We love El Charro and have been going here for years. While their food is still great, I've noticed inconsistencies in some of their menu items over the past year. Their chili relleno used to be one of my favorites, but within the past year the preparation and recipe has changed and the batter it is now fried in is almost inedible. I ordered twice, hoping the second time it would be different, but both times, I removed the batter and ate about half of the pepper. Another recipe that seems inconsistent is their guacamole. within the past 6 months, the guacamole has been different each time I've ordered. Sometimes there are a few onions and tomatoes, other times it's overloaded with onions and tomatoes. Same with cilantro, I am not a fan of cilantro and it has not been "noticeable" before, but there have been a few times where there's so much cilantro it cannot be ignored. It's disappointing to order guacamole and not eat it.

As for the service, everyone at El Charro is friendly. Something to know - the person that takes your order is not necessarily your server. The servers seem to share tables (if that's not their model, it sure has been our experience), so if you need anything additional, do not wait for the initial server to come back, just...

Me and my husband just got done eating here and it will be the last time. I ordered the whole fried tilapia with rice fries and a salad. As I started debonibv my fish and taking a few bites, I pulled a long hair out of my mouth. I know for a fact it wasn't mine because my hair was put up while I ate. I addressed the waitress to let her know, she told her manager. The manager approaches me and I quote" it's not ours so it has to be yours." They took my plate away and said it will be fixed. I was sitting there for 15 minutes waiting for a new plate but never got one. When my husband went to pay, the total was 28 dollars. No refund and no replacement. Instead all I had to eat was chips and salsa(which is free). When I asked how it was supposed to be fixed she told me she had no control over it. We paid 28 dollars for my husbands plays and our 2 drinks. I walked out hungry and very angry. They couldn't even provide the store managers number. Add in the flies all over the place and the roaches under some of the tables, we will not be returning to that restaurant. I truly wish I didn't even have to give this place a star but it's the only way to leave...
