My winemaking partner Brian and I had a most memorable tasting experience here last Saturday at Casa Dumetz. We entered not knowing what to expect, but were fortunate enough to be warmly greeted and subsequently served by Sonja, the winemaker herself. Sonja proceeded to walk us through a flight of some beautiful wines while explaining the nuances of their cool weather origin. We found the Clementine Carter line of wines to be outstanding. The Grenache Blanc and Rousanne were delightfully crisp while providing excellent mouthfeel. The West End Grenache and cool weather Mourvedre were crafted in a beautiful restrained style that exuded off the chart aromatics while still delivering generous fruit. It was a pleasure to taste these wines and know that there’s winemakers dedicated to making distinctive wines that show off a resounding vibrancy. We will be back as soon as time permits.

We went down the street to Bob’s where I was able to go straight into the bathroom with no questions. Clementine Carter could stand to show people a...

The Grenache and Mourvedre were so delicious as was the Roussanne. And by the way, I was not a fan of Roussanne until my tasting with Sonja. Her iteration was bright and vibrant, and had me eating crow after the first sip. I regret not buying a bottle. All in all, wow, the wines were good! And Sonja is...
