If I could give zero stars on this visit I would. I want to say before I rant this was one of my family’s favorite spots to come pre Covid. Their flatbread, desserts, beverages and staff were amazing. Not really sure what has happened over the months. We were very excited to come back here knowing they had outdoor dining. We checked in at 430. Staff was very cold. I ordered drinks for myself, son and wife. My wife’s mask wasn’t quite over her nose when we ordered drinks. Staff member told my wife to fully cover her nose because people close to him have died from Covid, which immediately made me and my family feel uncomfortable and wonder has he been exposed and are we going to get Covid now???? After waiting an 1 1/2 hrs I decided to ask the waitress if our table is getting close to being ready. Her eyes got big as they made a mistake and said it would be another 30 minutes. Geez that brought our wait to 2 hours which is ridiculous, at this point my family is starving and the only option was to wait an additional 30 minutes to be seated. Finally after waiting two long hours we got a table!!!! Staff came out pretty quickly to take out order. Once again not very friendly which is unusual. Staff notified us there are no large pizzas available only small. Whatever not a big deal. We ordered smalls. When our pizzas were served the amount of toppings were way weaker than the normal. Maybe an ounce of protein on our pizzas. They didn’t give us any flatware or napkins with our food until we asked and then they brought us 1 napkins. So kind. We are extremely disappointed in the overall service experience. Being a local we love supporting locally owned businesses. I guess at this point they only care about the tourist. I will make sure that my family and friends will not be visiting this establishment in the near future unless there is significant changes...... Extremely bummed about...
Read moreWe ordered our meal for take-out and I added a 15% tip to the order (despite ordering take away). When we arrived, our children were tired and hot so we asked if we could eat our meal there. The bartender (male) was super kind and told us they generally don't allow that, however, since it was very slow (lots and lots of available seating) they would bring our order to us and we could stay. He then, kindly, notified the hostess and she sat us down. We asked if we could order some drinks and she said she would send someone. After several minutes, we asked the bus person and he said he would send someone over. It was quite warm outside and everyone was super thirsty. As we were eating, we were interrupted by the associate manager who began speaking to us in a VERY condescending tone about how we are not allowed to sit and eat and that we are taking servers away from customers (again, no line, LOTS of tables and I paid a tip so any staff that helped was covered). We interrupted him and told him to please check-in with his staff as were told it was totally fine (and we would have NEVER sat down if they told us it wasn't). Also, had he come by and just kindly said, "there was a miscommunication and the staff should not have let you sit, so unfortunately you cannot order drinks" that would have been fine too. But he spoke in such a rude way. He then left to "check-in with his staff" and said he spoke to the owner and for us to "enjoy our meal" and essentially see our way out. We have frequented this restaurant for more than a decade as we make the drive to the central coast every few months. We have recommended this place to everyone we know that makes the drive. This interaction was BEYOND disappointing and I will...
Read moreMe and my partner both live and work in town and come by on occasion. This Saturday the 2nd we went in and got a Cesar salad, pizza , the beast as dessert and some drinks we were about halfway through enjoying our salad when I looked down at a piece of lettuce sitting on my share plate that was MOVING. Upon further inspection it was clear that it was a worm we quickly flagged down our server and he took the plates from our table to show the manager and then we approached by Alejandro the manager who apologized for the incident and said all the lettuce on the line would be pulled we thanked him and continued with our meal. When our recipe was brought to our table we were shocked to see were we’re being charged for the worm salad that was taken from our table that we didn’t get to fully enjoy. Nonetheless, we paid for our $71 tab And included a five dollar gratuity which made our total $76 and some change . I was not going to write a review and was just gonna let it be, However, today, Monday 4th my boyfriend was checking his bank statement and noticed that we were charged $86. A whole $10 extra for no reason on top of our not so great experience . This Was a very unfortunate experience and I hope their employees take more caution when charging for items That were pulled from the table, half full and not remade, as well as putting in an incorrect total for...
