HDV wines are unbelievably amazing. We had no expectations of what our tasting might be, and every part was an incredible experience. HDV is a by reservation only, so our group had a completely private personalized experience. they even printed custom tasting menus for us. We were first greeted by AJ, president of HDV. He showed us a private dining area where our tasting would start. The sommelier, Eddie, took over to begin our educational adventure. He took a scientific approach with a history lesson attached. Due to the prominent lineage of the families in shaping wine making in CA & France, the origins of the label also provided a history of the Pinot grape and Carneros valley.
