Such a wonderful park! I take my pup here to play ball because they have tons of open lawn areas, plus poop bags and water fountains just in case I forget to bring anything. Even during baseball season when the lower field is in use (we never use the fenced-in baseball diamond field, just the open field behind it), we're still able to play ball at the school yard or upper fields. Only recommended if your dog is under voice command and has perfect recall, as this is not a dog park, so there are kids, other dogs, bicycles, birds, etc. During the summer time it smells like honeysuckle because of the trees surrounding it, which is awesome. You'll see wild turkeys parading through regularly, too. They have a bunch of lovely BBQ areas and a water playground, so it's a great place to bring your little ones for a picnic. Highly recommend this beautiful spot ♥️

Peter Bertelsen Memorial Park is hands down my favorite park to visit! Even though the pavilion part in which the bathrooms were located burned down the park and surrounding area are just stunning! Their are a wide variety of different trees to observe. With the trees comes birds who chirp so beautifully. The greenery and atmosphere all around is so beautiful! If you need a break away from the crazy world without having to go to far from home this is the place! So peaceful and calming! Great family atmosphere!

This park was pretty nice. It has most things kids love to play with.... Slides. There are two. Swings. There are two big kid swings and 3 little kids swings. There's even a nice little little table and seats for the kids to sit on and eat. Well kept and maintained.

The park is small old school has been their since the late 60s. In the 70s till the late 90s it occupied the community full size Olympic pool. Were the Tasmanian Devil's swim team practiced and held swim meets and epic bbqs. There's also the community softball fields that are bring in heaps of locals. Its a great setting with majestic oaks and a few of the old rock bbq pits are still present tucked back for a little romance picnicking. There are fountains for children now that replaced the old pool. Its a very cool little cozy place that has housed great memories for many people even myself. I love to returning to reminise childhood memories. Worth checking out. But don't...
