I would rate this zero stars but this site doesn't give you that option. I went to visit this local thrift store because of the charities they donate too. So I walked in and 5 minutes passed no one greeted me or even smiled for that matter. The person in the store was distracted and preoccupied with his phone to even notice I had walked in. I've worked in retail for years and customer service is a priority. Without customers their is no buisness. These employees need to be retrained , everyone in the store looked lost as if they had no supervision and from my observation as if they were just winging it. This is unacceptable in retail or any buisness establishment. If I were the owner of this store I would want better quality people working for me that displays proper etiquette and have pride in their work. Poor customer service. And as I walked out I didn't purchase anything no one even said thank you it's like I wasn't even there. I was invisible!!!! So I stopped outside to look at the website and I knew instantly to write a review. And I also noticed that when people donate to these charities how do they confirm that donations have been distributed to the cause?? Most recent donation was posted in 2020. Like I said I was drawn to this thrift store because of the cause. I am a animal lover, kennel manager and I've volunteered for many shelters and worked with several animal rescues so I am deeply concerned. If I was to donate to K9 charity how do I confirm that it's actually being donated to the cause and not kept for a individual's financial gain..... perhaps dishonest employees or management. ????. As if the bad customer service wasn't enough, this drew Red Flags for me! Upper management should really look into this because it's bad...
Read moreToday was my first time going to this store, and unfortunately I did not have a good experience. I picked out a few pants and skirts from the “women’s pants $2.00” and “women’s skirts $2.00” racks. I also picked out some jean shorts overalls from the “women’s jeans $3.00” rack. I go to checkout and the cashier is saying that the pants and skirts are $2.50 each, even though the sign on the women’s pants and skirts racks CLEARLY say $2.00 each. He then goes onto say the jean shorts overalls are $5, and I say I got them from the “women’s jeans $3.00” rack and he claimed that since they were overalls they are $5. I found this funny because there is no rack in the store that said “Jean shorts overalls $5”. They also did not have a blue tag on them either, so it was not apart of the blue tag clothing priced at $5. I ended up putting everything away and walking out. I find it ridiculous that he tried to upcharge me and not stay true to their prices. This was my first and last time going to this store.
In response to your reply, since there was no blue tag on the jean short overalls, and considering they were in the “women’s jeans $3.00” section you should have honored the price. And your pricing system being down is not very much of an excuse, when the racks are not even 10 feet away from the register and have the pricing right on top of them clear for everyone to see. Instead of doubting me and telling me it was $2.50 each you should’ve taken a quick glance at the racks and seen that it does actually say $2.00 each. It was incredibly unprofessional, and unfortunately I will not be returning and I do not recommend this store to...
Read moreThe people are top notch Very friendly and nice. The store is a little full but you can navigate. The clothing is spaced very well which makes it easy to go through. The prices are some of the strangest I have ever seen at a thrift. You can get some good deals for items in regular price racks. Nothing beyond mall store items but they do a great job with making sure the item isn’t damaged or stained.
However, the designer (in some cases) and new with tags (in most cases) is super overpriced. There are some new with tags clothing at $100 for a $135 tag but the style is years old and a quick search revealed numerous $20 options online to purchase. I felt torn with this. I believe in the cause but I just won’t buy overpriced thrift items to support. I happily will make a regular donation in place of that. If there are items of that value, I recommend putting on eBay or Poshmark or wherever they do online sales. I can buy these items online for 80% less. I always want to support local but that price differential is not doable. Perhaps I’m not the target market for these items.
It made my heart hurt to see these prices, wondering if they will sit there for a long time when the dollars, if they were reasonably priced, could be going to the cause. They don’t appear to be eligible for sales either. Perhaps these sell better than I would expect - if so that’s great and I’ll just check the regular aisles for items when I wander in. I believe in thrift because there are too many clothes items in landfills and I love the cause here. I just might not understand their pricing well. Great folks and very well...
