Clean, small library but Cambridge is a small city so that not unusual or bad. Nicely decorated.
I travel a lot for work and am in Indiana a lot. My friends and I are book lovers and love seeing and supporting libraries so every time I’m in a city. I visit the library or a nearing one. I like to walk around and appreciate the decor and structure. I take pictures.
Staff approached me and asked why I was taking pictures. Not a huge deal I understand it’s odd. I explained. Didn’t seem like my answer but that’s neither here nor there. Informed me I can’t take pictures of patrons without their consent. I said and showed every single picture I took which was of the decor and such. Repeated again to not take picture of patrons. I just opted to leave instead. That seemed to the desired answer.
I noticed on the way out that there was going to be a book sale that was “Freewill” donation so I grabbed one of my books I was finished with and came back in briefly and asked the staff at the desk if the books had to be in great or near perfect condition and She said no so I gave her the book and said it was for the donation from the sign up front. Looked at me like I had 3 heads so I just left after that.
