Chicago’s Pizza — Restaurant in Cambridge City

This is a great little restaurant. It's located in an old "Main Street" storefront from years gone by. It's been updated inside and is very clean. You order at the counter, where you get a number for your table, then choose a place to sit. Seating is tables and chairs for the most part, but there are a few booths. Your order is delivered to your table. If you choose to get a salad, you get it yourself from a small salad bar. The pizza here was fantastic! Everyone in our group got something different, but we all loved what we got. All of us were remarking that we would like to come back. They have Coke products and water. No iced tea. They do have an ice cream case that they are getting ready, and they serve a dessert pizza, cinnamon, and sugar with white icing. The owners are very nice, and most of the servers were knowledgeable and quick to help. But, as is the norm these days, you get a few new hires that aren't as motivated to take initiative. Stopped in yesterday to try this place, and was not disappointed. Lunch buffet was absolutely delicious, even at the tail end of lunch hour. Salad bar was tiny but mighty; the fancy mixed greens were crisp and not bitter (a first!), all the basics to make a great salad were present and ice cold. I had 2 salads! The pizzas were just delish, with the chicken/bacon/ranch coming at first place, the BBQ cheeseburger pizza winning the silver medal. Mom loved the supreme pizza with all the goodies. The cinnamon dessert pizza was a banger, I had to have seconds. The pizzas were cut into small slivers so you could try everything, which was nice.

Service was outstanding, very friendly. The building is spectacular, blending historic features with modern ambience, and the place was sparkling clean. We had a very nice lunch...

What took me so long to get here? It was such a pleasure eating here. Staff were all friendly and listened to our questions and helped with suggestions. As you can see, the salad bar is well stocked with all of the traditional favorites. Our eyes were much bigger than our "bellies" so we asked for a box. The young lady brought us one, but when we were asked how everything was by the owner, Katie said "Well let me take that and put it in a bigger box for you!
