Outstanding experience and recommend without qualification.
Very large store in old closed-down brick factory. Lots of adjoining rooms with well-lit, uncluttered, well-laid-out and well-presented items of high quality -- some unique and of exceptional quality. Eclectic mix -- not everything will be to your taste -- but virtually everything is "good stuff." Yes, lots of furniture (mostly old, some new, some VERY old... and in great shape), buts lots of accent pieces and accessories.
Fun place to roam. Everything is in good-to-excellent condition. Different experience than almost all antiques stores I have been to, save the ones in Washington and New York and even London (which also are well-laid-out and well-lit, and also have mostly quality pieces -- but are at least five times more expensive). Terry, the owner, is very knowledgeable and helpful, in the business 35 years, honest, and -- I found -- very accommodating.
We bought a big vacation home in the Saint Michaels corridor. Had to furnish almost completely from scratch. Went to Bay Country four times in five days, and bought 14 items. Very fair pricing. Wish we had gone earlier. If you are relocating to the Eastern Shore, or buying a vacation home like us, you should go to Bay Country first before dropping big dough at Sheffield or Ethan Allen or Shofers or wherever.
Finally, the service: Terry accommodated us twice by staying open late, delivered our Thursday and Friday purchases on Saturday, immediately handed me back a twenty when I accidentally overpaid on a $300 cash deposit, and would not let me take a late 19th Century Waterbury mantle clock with me -- instead coming out personally with the delivery team so he could lovingly balance it, wind it, and tutor my wife and I on how to operate and care for it. Nice!
My congratulations, Terry and Dawn, on such a wonderful business establishment. Enjoying our relationship thoroughly, and highly recommend Bay Country...

Ms. Melissa, the owner, was an absolute delight. She’s charming, welcoming, and clearly has an incredible eye for distinctive style. You can tell she truly loves what she does, and her passion shines through in the carefully curated pieces throughout the store.
If you appreciate antiques, vintage charm, or simply enjoy discovering something unique, Bay Country Antiques is definitely...
Read moreWe have visited dozens of antique stores in MD/VA/DE, and this is one of the best if not the best. Unlike many antique stores which resemble a garage sale (low-value items scattered throughout in a messy fashion), this store is beautifully laid-out with exceptional pieces. Many of the pieces have been restored by the owners and are truly amazing. Pricing is very fair. Great selection of restored tables/furniture, rugs, tin signs, nautical items, and restored gas pumps. The owners greeted us warmly when we entered and told us the history of some of the items. Only a few...
