Worst service experience after spending thousands of dollars! I purchased a bed to have it delivered before thanksgiving so I could spend the night with my family in my new home. I made prior arrangements with my neighbor to sign for the bed when the delivery truck arrived since I had to be at work. I received a message stating the delivery would arrive within an hour so I notify my neighbor. When the guys arrived I received a missed call so I called back right away to learn that the truck was outside and needed to meet with my neighbor to have the delivery order signed. The driver got aggravated and annoyed when I asked him to give me a few minutes so I can call my neighbor to come out to sign for the delivery. He stated he will only give me 5 minutes because he was in a rush to leave and was upset because no one was waiting out in the cold for him to arrive. I also asked if he wouldn’t mind meeting my neighbor at her door so she can sign faster and he refused. Now my neighbor has 3 kids under the age of 4 and she needed to get them all dressed to go outside since the temperature was 29 degrees. By the time my neighbor got to my front door with her kids, she saw the truck driving away as she tried waving to them. They never stopped or turned back and refused to answered their phones.
I tried explaining to the person who was assisting with the dispatch and she was also annoyed and impatient while I was trying to explain the situation. All they cared about is that they gave me 5 minutes for my neighbor to get her kids ready to come out in the cold which she did and they still drove away as she walk to the van. This is the most insensitive, impatient and unmannerly set of people who works for Mattresses Firm and I will never spend another dime with this company. Neither the dispatcher or the delivery driver was courteous or polite when communicating with them over the phone. They both sounded very annoyed and upset that no one was waiting outside in the cold for them to arrive.
I previously bought 2 beds that was worth over $3000 and now another couple of thousands for the new bed and I got the most horrendous service for the thousands of dollars I’ve spend with...
Read moreTruly disappointed. If you are set on MattressFirm, go to the location across the street: 229 Alewife Brook Pkwy. Save yourself the headache.
Pros: they have a decent collection of beds in store
Cons: Salespeople were rude, condescending, and deceitful.
A friend recommended I visit this location while it was still Sleepy's, but now it's MattressFirm. I came on a weeknight and was the sole customer in the store. I walked toward the lady in the back in her desk and waited for her to assist me (she was watching what sounded like a show/radio broadcast). I didn't like my recent mattress purchase and was looking to purchase a new one. I told her my preferences and budget and she showed me a few mattresses. On multiple occasions she zoned out and asked me to repeat my questions. She would just stared blankly until she realized I had been standing there waiting for a response. The other sales person came over to "help me" since he seemed to know more about the mattresses. After bragging about how MattressFirm swallowed all other mattress retailers and was just short of being a monopoly, he showed me a mattress he claimed was the best one for my needs. Seemed reasonable. He then gave me a quote (I only wanted the mattress and they list set prices) and condescendingly tried to get me to put money down to save the quote. All the while, keeping his vaporizer cupped firmly in his hand. When I told him I want to do some more research on the mattress before putting money down, he shrugged me off. I truly hope this is not the norm for all MattressFirms. There's no reason to treat a customer so apathetically. My friend, who recommended the location, has also re-visited the store since the acquisition and had a similar negative experience with...
Read moreMy old mattress and box spring literally broke so I needed new ones ASAP. I went to MF showroom yesterday and the items are being delivered tomorrow. That is why I went to them, near my house, in hopes that could somehow happen. The sales man was very helpful and personable. He, like the MF people online seem to have incentives and maybe commission on sales so the more you spend the better for them. It’s the way it works, so I get it. But just be aware. Will have you try most expensive first then still expensive one and down, if you’re like me, and do not have much money, keep asking to see the next price down. Eventually you’ll get to one with seemingly purposeful pilling and less comfortable top to it, but if you can afford that or lower only then say that. Don’t give up just because it feels uncomfortable to be honest. Man was nice, asked about my job and related w a personal story, asked about living in the city plus relatable story- so he was a good salesman! I’ve worked in sales but it was ok he was not pushy. But at the end began suggesting add ons that were $128… I asked if I could find it cheaper elsewhere and then a $65 appeared. $20 online, but probably yea, less quality, but if you need cheaper it exists. I settled for the middle but only do what you can do. Don’t spend beyond your means just because someone pressures you. ❤️ 100% would use them again for the speed with which they assisted me and made this happen. The notes above are not to slam them, but to tell people how it works since I didn’t know either and it makes us susceptible to being taken...
