Bon Me - Fresh Pond / Alewife — Restaurant in Cambridge

I recently visited Bon Me in Cambridge and had an amazing experience customizing my bowl. I opted for the chicken karaage as my protein, and it was absolutely delicious—crispy, flavorful, and perfectly paired with fresh veggies, rice, and a zesty sauce. The orange juice (or Lucky Orange Bubble Tea, as it’s called) was equally delightful, with a refreshing citrus kick that complemented the meal beautifully. The quality of both the food and drink was top-notch, and I can see why people rave about this place.

That said, I found the prices a bit steep, especially the $6.80 for the drink—it felt pricey for what it was. They don’t offer sodas, which limited my options a bit, though I suppose you could grab a Coke or something from Dunkin’ next door if you really want one. Overall, my meal came to just over $30, which is a bit much for an everyday lunch for my budget, but the deliciousness made it worth it for a special treat.

The service was friendly, the atmosphere was vibrant, and the customization options were fantastic. I’d highly recommend Bon Me for a high-quality, tasty meal, though it might not be feasible for daily lunches unless you have a bit more wiggle room in your pocket. Every person has their own experience and my one with bon me is not good at all

Me and my husband were here to order a to go order. We ordered a bon me bap which was a vegetarian dish. The person over there packed our order and as nobody else was there, we assumed it was our order. But to be on a safer side my husband asked the person to confirm whether it's bon me bap, vegetarian to which the waiter there gave a sarcastic look( meaning you don't know what your ordered look). We got home super hungry only to realise our order was not what we ordered. It's a non vegetarian dish. I called immediately and the person told he can initiate a refund or give a fresh bon me bap the other day.

I went the other day ( because I felt there was lack in communication, the people who work here are not so good with their English). I came to know that our refund has been initiated.

Food was ok but the service was chaotic and the order was delayed and missing food. I waited for about 15 minutes or so, and finally asked about the status of my order. After some searching they discovered that it had not printed so they fixed that and got to work on it. They added some fries for free which was nice . But after waiting 25 minutes for my food, when I got home I discovered that they had forgotten the fried chicken I ordered. So I got fries which I didn't even originally want instead of the fried chicken I ordered... The rest of the food was fine although a bit less generous on the sandwich fillings compared to what I expect from Bon Me.
