The awful experience started right when the call was made to reserve a table. It was answered by a loud impatient person and had absolutely no phone etiquette. We chalked it off to maybe he was having a bad day and still decided to try out the restaurant. Upon our entrance, instead of a “hi and hello”, the loud fake blonde at the greeter’s desk yelled at us to close the door, ok fine. Her unnecessary loud tone continued as she told us our name wasn’t on the list and shoo’d us away. Upon further investigation, we did find our names and were finally seated. We ordered over $200 worth of dishes. 2 of the dishes came with rice but instead they substituted them with French fries. We had to actually inquire why this was the case and they said they ran out of rice, but failed to let us know when we ordered and we had specifically asked and confirmed that was rice accompanying the dishes at the time of the order. The same fake blonde insisted they had fairly compensated with fries from France. What a joke. The attitude of the so called manager and owner wasn’t anything better. They were pretty confrontational and the whole experience with a family w kids was ruined. We have had authentic Turkish food and also dined at many other Turkish restaurants throughout the New England area. This by far is the absolute worst experience as far as atmosphere, and how the staff treats the guests and food quality and taste. I highly doubt they are allowed so many tables in that tiny space. There must have been 20+ tables which clearly violated Cambridge fire code. One could not walk past you without having to push chairs in on all sides. The worst part is the food tasted like expired Alpo (dog food), extremely bland and no taste at all. I could have chewed on a piece of my car seat and it would have tasted better. See the photo below, it has a piece of hair in it. If you want an appalling experience you will never forget and and like being treated like a stray dog in a 3rd world country alleyway and love eating old chewy meat, make sure you make a reservation here ASAP. You will never ever forget it. And yes bring your friends so you can laugh about it for decades. Also the place is called Lavash but they don’t serve Lavash bread, they will bring a small basket of Indian naan bread. They should change their name to “Naan bread” instead since they don’t live up to their name. I wrote this review while on the throne as this place deserves it. Also another thought, I am very confident they have purchased positive reviews and none of the high ranking reviews are authentic.
The photos are of the mixed grill, it costs $49, seriously, this is what $49 gets you from this sorry excuse of a restaurant. Instead of a full piece of Adana they cut it up for 2 plates. The other photo...
Read moreFirst off, its not like it appears on the reviews!! The food or the place, and the server(s) were like robots. Positives, SOME of the things we ordered were good. FAlafal, but one was burnt black, which came with the hot appetizer plate (warm meze) the Manti(raviololi) was hard, undercooked. Feta pastry rolls (sigare borek) were rubbery and floppy and cold. Then we ordered entree for 2 of us KARISIK IZGARA “ MIXED GRILL, which I saw pictures of on Google reviews and let me tell you, talk about false advertising! Well don't even pay attention to the photos of that giant wooden board with all the meat for $48, what we got was a sad plate with a sad tortilla and a few pieces of meat! See my pics posted of the REAL dish! One sad tiny lamb chop, 3 cubes of flavorless grilled chicken and the adana was one piece of each, chicken and the other lamb/beef. Then 2 pieces of each of the other grilled meat and ONE turkish meatball (kofte). Do not be fooled with the tempting video and pictures online! I am showing you the real thing you get! Then we asked the server about the photos and her response was that those pics are just to show what they have! BS. That was the biggest disappointment. The rice isn't even Turkish, its your very plain parboiled lame white rice! We came here to eat Turkish food. Another thing was little bugs flying around the food and wall! The place had a depressing vibe, those servers were part of it. Tried having a human interraction with them and they wouldnt crack. Place isnt nice as appears on other Google review photo because they only show you the nicer half! Also why are there faded Christmas wreaths on the walls for decor?🤔 Honestly the more I think about it, I would have to be really hungry for Turkish food to go back. Definitely NOTHING that I expected. My spouse got take out there once and warned me about the food. But it was only one thing so I wanted to give it a chance. This is his culture so I should have listened, haha! They don't have any gyro (Doner)either, so....anyways, if you want good tasting Turkish food go to Gyro Kebab House in Norwood! 5 OUTTA 5! If ya...

Saw a lot of their ads online recently and recently took a visit to try them out. The restaurant was fairly empty on a Saturday afternoon, and I liked how they had a free parking lot next to the building, which is quite rare in Cambridge. Their menu was also more budget-friendly compared to other Middle Eastern and Turkish restaurants in the area.
For the appetizers, I opted for the hummus and the fried veal liver. Hummus had a delightfully light consistency, and it tasted like it was made fresh in-house. The soft and fluffy pita bread served alongside was a perfect complement to the hummus.
I also got to try the pan-fried veal liver for the first time, and it was somewhat similar to chicken liver, but with a slightly bolder taste. The liver was diced into small pieces, which helped mitigate the intense iron flavor often associated with liver. This was nicely balanced by the freshness of the accompanying tomato slices and arugula salad and a bit of acidity from the pickled cabbage.
For my main course, I chose the Inegol Kofte Kebab, a mix of lamb and beef. The kebab had a more pronounced lean beef flavor and was served with a generous portion of salad and pickled cabbage. While not the best kebab I've had in the area, it was still a solid dish.
The service throughout the meal was outstanding, with all the servers being exceptionally friendly and attentive. Definitely looking forward to exploring more of their Turkish food and...
