Sonder - easily one of my worst city hotel experiences in 30 years. CHECK-IN: Despite completing my ID check months before, I never received my access codes. I checked with the live chat the day before, and they said there was a 24/7 front desk, but when I arrived at 8pm there was no one there since the desk shuts at 6pm. Here began a 90min odyssey of me messaging and calling their support, who repeatedly told me to ‘speak to the front desk’. The one I was standing at. That was closed. It took me multiple calls to finally get them to provide me codes. ROOM: the room was dirty, see pictures. Stains on the floor, stains on the comforter, and even stains on our TOWELS. On top of this, if I wanted the room cleaned, I had to pay $60. BED: the bed is big, but that’s the only plus. The bed sheets don’t fit the bed so constantly ping off. The bed wasn’t even made when I arrived, and the sheets are so cheap they make a scratching noise every time you move. Did I mention the comforter had stains? AMENITIES: this place is so ridiculously stingy, they literally limit you to one roll of toilet paper, and then provide a sign saying if you want more, there is a shop nearby! I have to BUY MY OWN TOILET PAPER. What kind of service is that?! All in all, I will not be returning, and a highly recommend you stay somewhere else too. Location is good, but so is the park bench outside, (that looked liked it had considerably less stains).

If I could give zero stars, I would. Before staying at this dumpster fire of a lodging property, I read the reviews but I wrote off the negatives ones as growing pains. This was the WORST experience with "hospitality" I have ever had. There was BLOOD on our comforter (not ours) which we didn't discover until the morning after our first night. 🤢 Like others have posted, there was nobody around to help me and the help features in the app were also a joke. We finally spoke to someone and were assured it would be taken care of. We then ventured out into the city for eight hours. We got a message saying it was all set. When we got back, nobody had been there and the bloody bedding remained. After numerous phone calls we were assured someone was coming right over. He did show up and DROPPED OFF BEDDING IN A PLASTIC TRASH BAG (WHAT?!?!?) He didn't even make the bed or offer to. I had to cause a stink to get a refund and then we had to move to another hotel because they "couldn't" refund us if we stayed that night. This place is a joke, Sonder is a joke and I will be parading around the internet letting as many people as possible know. Don't waste your money or your good health on an unsanitary, unsafe company even if it is in a great location.

The location of this Sonder was great. Super easy to find street parking (between 8:01pm and 8:00 am it’s free) The area was clean and had great walkable access to restaurants and coffee shops, cvs, etc I upgraded our room from the king room facing the brick wall (lol) to the spacious king ring facing the town and the view was really pretty. Traffic was very quiet. We didn’t hear any neighbors during our stay but we stayed on the 4th floor and above us for about 3 hours the restaurant was moving around chairs loudly .. between 11pm and 1 am That was pretty annoying. The only notes I have about the room itself is the bathroom fixtures (faucet and wall mounted flusher) were literally falling off the wall and looked pretty run down. My pillow had ink stains on it and the shower pressure was so strong it hurt to wash your face The fitted sheet also didn’t fit the bed and popped off every time you shifted around The front desk staff were kind and helpful though. I’d stay here again in a pinch but maybe not for $300/night

Arriving late from an international flight I was disappointed that there is no reception. I had to download and navigate through an app to get into the building. Not ideal. The code to the door didn’t work (yes it was the right code). I stayed for a week and had to pay to have my room cleaned and get fresh towels. I also had to book that two days in advance. On the plus side, it was clean and the bed was comfortable. However it gets one star as the basics… like getting access to your room… were terrible!
