A gorgeous area tucked away off M12. Filled with a ton of different trails, some very well maintained and others weaving through the woods. Many trails can be water covered or muddy if you come around any rainfall, but during the drier season, you should be fine with some boots. Some great views of the River Rouge, and plenty of wildlife including birds, squirrels, butterflies and dragonflies. A few benches along the way to stop if you need. I highly recommend strong insect repellent and tick prevention for your pets. My dogs have had at least one each on them after each trip. I have had a few on me as well.
