This would not be bad for a short stay. The access and the ability to walk to several eateries (Seis Amigos, Sedona Bistro, Subway and Sonic) is a great plus. Near several public parks and has a nice walking trail. Those are the pluses. The RV park, itself, is in dire need of some TLC. Sites are worn, uneven, bare of the gravel that is supposed to be there. They fill with water when it rains. Several sites were actually lake-like. The public facilities are worn and in need of updating. They did replace flooring in the middle bath house while we were there but did not replace or fix the toilets that would only occasionally flush and we never witnesses the laundry facilities being cleaned. Possibly they were, but we had a direct line of view to them and never witnessed it. Fire rings were never cleaned out. We were there during the 2024 Eclipse and the park was filled and many people used the fire rings and misused the fire rings, and they were never cleaned or maintained. Our site had a discarded pet carrier door in it the day we arrived and it was still there when we left. The office was rarely open, maybe 3 days per week and then only 10-4 or so, it did vary. The advertised cable tv would glitch and need to be reset at the office, but many times there was no one that to reset it. There is goose droppings everywhere, but especially in rows C and D - these rows are mainly for long term guests but the geese do venture out a bit. The private pond, where fishing is allowed, really needs some upkeep, stagnant and unappealing. We never found the volleyball area and the miniature golf course would be challenging since weeds are growing out of the holes and crumbling sidewalls make for hazardous walking. The pool had not opened for the season during our stay. There is a nice area for pets but it is rarely stocked with bags and the trash cans were emptied once during our stay. Conveniently located so if you are just traveling through I wouldn’t cull it, just don’t expect much until the management decides to pay attention to the business and make it what...
Read moreIf I could rate this lower I would , very rude manager had a bad outlet that was dropping one leg of the 50 Amp sent out maintenance person with no tools , no parts and no electrical knowledge. Showed him how to use a multimeter and what was wrong and he said I could just change camping spots as he did not have parts nor the knowledge to fix the issue . What a waste of time asked for a particular spot was denied . The whole park lacked maintenance and there was a whole aera with what look to be abandoned campers , pretty sure the bad outlet took out my fridge should have had a surge/power protector . In the end I was asked to leave as I was too demanding , IE was kicked out . I was also scolded for arriving after hours on Easter weekend but I did have a reservation for two weeks prior and called 3 days prior to confirm and get my spot assignment due to me arriving after hours. The manager is power monger about 5 plus time she made sure to tell me she was a manager . I will never go back nor contact them beware she mangers the landing in cape girardeau as well.. horrible person and...
Read moreThe campground itself was ok for the one night stay we needed while traveling through. The office was closed so we never met anyone. My only complaint was the boneheaded guys who were mowing during the evening while we were there. First of all who mows a campground in the evening? That would be bad enough but they were running around on their zero turn mowers blowing the grass all over the campsites and our motorhome. Why wouldn’t they mow away from the campers? I had grass all over the side of my motorhome and was scared to death that the rocks flying were chipping our paint. My sewer hose was crushed and it wasn’t even out in the grass so I assume one of the chowderheads with the weed eaters stepped on it. There were 4-5 of them running back and forth mowing and not one of them seemed to have any respect for the campers or...
