Seis Amigos — Restaurant in Cape Girardeau

We went to Seis Amigos for dinner last night and sat at their outdoor patio. We had no wait to be seated and the service was great. We both got street tacos with corn tortillas and my husband ordered a strawberry margarita. He was surprised by how big the medium margaritas were. All of the food was delicious, however we both had gluten reactions later that evening. In my experience Mexican restraunts are usually a safe choice if you're gluten sensitive because they have so many corn-based options. I'm not sure if they use flour in their seasonings or if it was simply a cross contamination issue in the kitchen. The complimentary nachos and salsa were beyond compare. My family and I also ordered the beef nachos (several orders) and the seasoning of the meat was indescribably delicious. I also ordered the Mexican pizza and a beef taco salad. The Mexican pizza was incredible. My one and only complaint was that the beef taco salad had a bit too much sour cream but, hey, everyone has their own tastes and they do aim to please. They will make it however you prefer it, I just didn't realize how much came with it. The service was excellent and we received everything in our order pretty quickly. Came in around 4pm on Monday service was really great and quick. They were helpful after mentioning my friend has an Alpha Gal allergy. They answered our questions and made our order right. We ordered the chicken fajitas for 2. They brought out 2 fajita side salad plates (rice, , beans, lettuce, guac.) and one big skillet of fajitas. The meat was good quality no gristle bits or fatty chunks, I didn't get any tomato butts and there wasn't a lot of oil. The waitress checked on us frequently.
