We pulled in at approximately 8:30 pm and noticed the menu boards seemed to be down. The app said they were not taking online orders. We were about to leave when an employee named Jess told us that only the drive thru was open due to staffing shortage, so we drove around. As soon as we pulled up to the drive thru, the lights to the menu board turned off. We had to shine a cell phone light at the board to see it. We were the only customers. We pulled up to the window to pay and get our food and noticed an employee sitting on the floor on her phone. The only employee we saw working was Jess. We assumed maybe the one on the floor was taking a break, but didn't ask. Our order was short two tenders, which by the way were some of the most pitiful chicken tenders I have ever seen. We went back around and Jess gave us the two missing tenders. We spent over $50 total for a family of five, but the food wasn't worth that. I don't know if it was this particular Sonic or if the food there has gone down hill, but Sonic used to be much better. I won't be returning. I don't know how much Sonic pays their employees or why they can't keep staff at this location, but they need to step it up in order to get the restaurant staffed properly. Read moreI originally gave this location 5 stars, but I went back another time for ice cream and when I received it, I had never smelled something so awful. I honestly thought maybe I was just having some weird personal issue with my nose. Because SURELY no one would sell ice cream that smelled like that. But I was NOT. My boyfriend and I both took a bite of our separate ice creams and it was the absolute worst thing we ever tasted. The ice cream was spoiled!!! That one bite actually made me sick to my stomach and I threw up the rest of the day. But that’s not even the worst part. They actually refused to give us a refund!! It was the most bizarre thing we had ever experienced. Sonic used to be my favorite fast food place to eat, I’ve always thought their burgers were delicious. but the way they treat their customers when there is an obvious problem makes me never want to go back. We contacted corporate as well. The customer service was a nightmare. This is not an isolated incident. If the corporate office is equally as dismissive over food poisoning and their companies selling spoiled food, then I have zero interest in giving any Sonic my money, no matter the location. Read moreI got the same order every single day in my hometown. On the app. Tried ordering on the app & couldn’t get a location to come up to order my drinks. I told the gentleman at the window i couldn’t get the app to find his location & would he honor my app price? Keep in mind that it used to be happy hour before 11 AM until they forced you to order on online to get a discount. He said sorry ma’am the app is working I won’t honor it. I said the app is not working. I can come up and show you. He said come up to the window and I’ll see what I can do . Mind you this is 20 minutes into trying to order a drink. I showed him where it says no store found on my phone app and he said sorry ma’am. I’m not gonna honor it because our app is working. Not working! Unbelievable!
