Carlsbad Best Massage — Attraction in Carlsbad

Helen is a miracle worker!!! My partner and I came in for a 45 min couple’s massage on a Saturday at noon, they worked us in pretty much right away. We both work with our hands and were having lots of shoulder pain, mine was going down the arm and causing lots of pain, tingling, and numbness.

The room was nice and relaxing, low lights and quiet music. Helen made sure to ask what kind of pressure to use and I told her to use pretty strong pressure and told her what my symptoms were.

The massage itself was not exactly “pleasant”, but not because Helen did a bad job, simply because I was sooo tight and sore. She REALLY got into the most painful parts of my shoulder and neck, sometimes the pressure felt like almost too much but I didn’t tell her to stop because I needed those knots GONE.

Afterwards my partner and I were both quite sore, but I could immediately turn my head to the left without pain, which I couldn’t do before. Helen told us to drink warm water and to expect to be sore for a couple of days and she was definitely correct about the latter part. Prepare to be sore for 2-3 days with a deep tissue massage on an area that’s been painful.

However I can happily say that a HUGE amount of my neck and shoulder pain is gone!! It’s not totally resolved but I will definitely be going back for more treatment with Helen! She is awesome 😎 She’s obviously quite well informed about how muscles, fascia, and nerves work together and even has a chart at the front desk showing all the relevant anatomy throughout the body.

The ladies were so skilled and helpful! I loved when Helen told us the difference in mindset for them is they don't do massage just to benefit themselves, they do it to really help others even if it can cause them discomfort from an exhausting day. They really are passionate about what they do. Helen gave us some stretches to do to maintain comfort after getting the knots worked out. I highly recommend them!
