
Great beach spot with shallow water for the kids to play - although we also see surfers a bit deeper in. This beach has lots of rocks lined between the cliff and the sand / shore and a few that make their way in to the water. Some people might not like it, we don't mind it, just make sure to wear good water shoes to walk along the shore. The kids love to boogie board, build sand castles, collect rocks, and wait around for the sunset! My only issue would be parking- you can get lucky and find a spot in the lot just above or drive up a bit more to look for a spot closer to the road. Not for laying out, but beautiful anyway. There are tons of rocks and waves. Just gorgeous views to be seen here that you want to take the time to do so. There is some black sands but also most of it is really clean clear sand. I loved it. I didn’t see one piece of trash while I was out on the beach, but I did find a yeticup that is.
