BEWARE: DOUBLE CHECK ON CREDIT CARD RECIEPT (not store RECIEPT) THAT YOU WERE GIVEN $25 IF YOU HAVE MET THE APPROPRIATE AMOUNT ON THE STORE PUNCH CARD BECAUSE ITS NOT ALWAYS CREDITED AS THEY VERBALLY CLAIM IN THE TOTAL OWED. My loyal customer card was completely filled. So that earns me $25 on purchase. I owed $3 at checkout and they swiped my credit card. Being in a hurry I didn't ensure the credit card RECIEPT matched the stapled store reciept. Got home and saw discrepancy. Grrr. So I called and the clerk stated she remembered me because it just happened moments ago and she didn't realize until I left the store, further claiming she was intending on crediting me when I came back down the road. BUT she got it wrong. I had shopped the day before so she was referring to the wrong customer. So that seemingly implies to me this happens more often than it should and they are aware of the discrepancy yet doing nothing to correct and letting customers walk out being none the wiser? A up and up company would refund immediately especially since this store keeps a log of all cards and purchases(admitted to me for my refund)
So beware and keep an eye out to ensure u receive due credit for being a loyal customer!!
On different note: The items sold are extremely nice. I love this store. Desk clerk hospitality varies day to day. Some days behind nice and others it's questionable but I don't care. I love the selection and prices--however, I never leave without checking the...
Read moreThe Pros - Organized, clean, easy to browse the racks. One clerk who was quite helpful and answered my questions when they arose. Found a wide variety of casual to business to formal to workout items; purchased a great sweater! The Cons - Not knowing, nor having it explained to me, I took in over fifty pieces, all on hangars, only to have them take seven items. When I asked for clarification since my two bags of shoes (several pairs were new) did not appear to have been examined at all, one lady was condescending and said the shoes were too worn. She also said they didn't take items that were more than a season old. Hmm, nice verbal slap, anyone? I asked if she'd seen that several pairs were new, she turned her back. I guess I was "dismissed"; the other clerk saw the shock and hurt on my face and came over to explain that on the few times they actually buy items, they tend not to take everything. (I looked at the flier on the door, and I saw nothing that indicated any of this information. When I came home, I read the online info, and again, nothing posted. Saw many of the brands they rejected hanging on their racks, as well as two items and one pair of shoes in their store.) Will I go back? Unsure. To sell or consign, no. I will donate or go to another store. To purchase items, unsure. BTW, word-of-mouth brought me in the door, and the attitude (and words) of one...
Read moreThis was my first time visiting. So with that in mind, my review is about what I should have been made aware of upon entering the store, NOT after I have paid for my purchase. They do not box or bag your purchase. Now, if I had been made aware, I would have adjusted my purchase to a couple of items that I could easily carry and store in my car without needing a bag or tote. As it stood, I had over a hundred dollars purchased and no way to carry my purse and items at the same time. Absolute zero concern from. Staff. She looked at me as if I should just know. On another less irritating note. I was under the impression that this place was more upscale. Meaning they only take certain brands. I also expected that the items would be clean and free from noticeable damage. Luckily I noticed a huge hole in a dress for my grand daughter before paying. Because there are no returns. At the end of the day, even goodwill allows returns. Here you are stuck if you aren't very careful. If I am paying a premium for items, I guess I just expect that they are vetted for damage before being sold. I guess it's buyer beware. Thankfully there are plenty of other choices in the resale market. Even poshmark allows returns if...
