Painting with a Twist is an absolute gem of a place, and I cannot sing their praises enough! My recent experience there was nothing short of incredible, and I'd gladly give them more than five stars if I could.
From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The staff is not only friendly and accommodating but also incredibly talented. They made the entire process of creating a beautiful piece of art fun and accessible, even for someone like me who has never considered themselves an artist.
The studio itself is charming and well-organized, with all the materials you could possibly need neatly laid out and ready for use. The choice of paintings to recreate is diverse, catering to a wide range of artistic interests and skill levels. Whether you're a seasoned painter or a complete beginner, you'll find something enjoyable and engaging here.
What truly sets Painting with a Twist apart is their dedication to ensuring that everyone has a fantastic time. The instructors are patient, encouraging, and skilled at guiding you through the process step by step. They make sure you feel confident and have a great time while unleashing your creative side.
Additionally, the social aspect of the experience cannot be overlooked. Painting with a Twist is an ideal place for friends, family, or even a date night. Sharing the creative process with loved ones is not only enjoyable but also a fantastic...
Read moreI’ve done painting with a twist multiple times at different locations, and this was by far my worst experience. My friend and I went to the New Years Day class. The instructor wasn’t telling us what she was doing as she was doing it. She wasn’t explaining anything from the brush she was using to the color paint we needed. She was reading the directions while we were in class. No ones painting looked close to the example online not even hers. She even held up a student’s painting and started referencing it bc it looked better than hers. She forgot an entire part of the painting, and when multiple students asked about it she told us that it was supposed to already be done and they must’ve “missed” her saying that, despite the fact that almost the entire class was missing that part of the painting. There was even a group who left early and left their canvases behind because they got so frustrated with the horrible instructor. It was a waste of $38/ person in my opinion. To top off the terrible instruction, we couldn’t bring our own drinks into the studio like you can in other Painting With A Twist studios. They had a “bar”. But they were charging $6/ glass or $18/ bottle for Barefoot wine. A bottle in the store is cheaper than a little glass at the studio. I would not recommend this studio to anyone. There are much better studios that you can attend with great...
Read moreI attended yesterday’s event and this is the first time I have left not liking my painting at all. From the beginning, I walked in and was not created (which is not typical for your location). I found my friend as we were celebrating our 40th birthdays. I went to get a drink and wanted about 15 minutes for someone. At which point, our event host said she would be with me. Within minutes, I could hear her crying uncontrollably behind me. I went and sat back down. She reappeared still very upset and started getting paint on our plates. At this time, I’m assuming either the manager or owner called and things went south from there. She quit before our party even got started. As someone who paints with you guys a few times a year, I just started putting paint on our plates that she hadn’t finished. The whole group of students started doing it on our own until her replacement came in. He was very helpful but obviously very scattered at this was not planned for him. Since he was late getting started and unplanned, the event felt rushed.
This whole situation with our host ruined the entire mood in the room. And obviously not how I wanted to spend my birthday with my bestie.
I really hope things improve but I will be very hesitant to...
