The person working the line on 7/12 at 7:45pm has no customer service what so ever. I travel the country and eat at Chipotle every day. I’m used to customer service not being the best but I like to make management aware of an employee who takes 0 pride in their job. I’m a business owner and formerly worked in customer service for years. I understand customers can be tough and can put you in a mood but it’s their job to put on a smile regardless of this. I waited for 3 minutes before anyone approached me to place my order. Loomy was the name I was given by the cashier of the young man who was working the line. He didn’t said one word to me and I had to initiate my order. He never said a word throughout the whole encounter even though I said thank you 4 times. Not a “Hi thank you for your patience” or “Hi how are you?” pr “Hi what can I get started for you?” as you might expect. Not once did he say you’re welcome or “Can I get anything else for you?” as most people working the line do. Doesn’t make sense for him to get paid to not give even minimal customer service. He should either be working in back of house or talked to if he is going to continue to work in the front of house. I take pride in my business and the way my employees treat our customers and I would like to think chipotle does the same. Again, just wanted to make management aware so they have the opportunity to correct the situation as I’d hope my customers would do the same for me if I had an employee who didn’t live up to the standards we have set.
Food was good as always which is why I will continue to come every day as it’s an easy 2 meals for me as a bodybuilder who travels a lot. The cashier was pleasant as well. Thanks for taking the time to read this and I hope this helps you make your chipotle that...
Read moreI do not typically write reviews about restaurants however I know from experience that this Chipotle does not care about the customer experience. I have had issues in the past, emailed them and a week later a manager finally reaches out and wants a receipt for my order from a week ago. So due to those experiences, I figure a review would just be better.
With that said, I stopped at this Chipotle tonight, mainly because there isnt much else open at 10pm. My wife and I both order a chicken bowl. The chicken looked funny as it was shredded. Chipotle chicken is never shredded. It is always chopped. But it looked like chicken so we didnt say anything. When we got home, we opened our bowls and began eating. I will just say, if it was chicken, it had NO flavor at all. It was beyond bland. Not even the typical char flavor. I truly believe it was pulled pork or something. It was so dry that it was very hard to eat.
For me personally, it has been one bad experience after another with this particular Chipotle. Any other one that I go to, I get great food and great service. This one, not even close. I am surprised they are still open. They cant keep employees and thus the line is always super long. Then after waiting forever, your food isnt right.
I hate that this particular one is right down the street from where I live because at this point, I will drive to Robinson or somewhere else to get quality food. This...
Read moreMeh. Standard Mexican chain food, nothing special. I've only been to Chipotle once before, and that was the one near Peach Street in Erie, so not much to compare this place to. I ordered the barbacoa (barbecued meat) taco bowl with some corn and mild salsa and pinto beans.
The portion size was decent. But, I'd much rather have gotten something else for $10 such as from a local shop. Mezeh in Charlottesville is a similar concept but you get a much higher quality of food and quality is essentially unlimited. Chipotle really restricts your options for toppings quite a bit.
The actual flavor was not bad. Some in my party said the queso was pretty good and so was their sour cream as well as guacamole. My salsa was decently fresh but not too flavorful. I did like the meat, although the portion wasn't too generous. It had a good texture and flavor (not too sweet either, and not spicy which is good for me). Rice was standard, you can choose from brown or white. Decent bean portion.
All in all, a popular Mexican chain that I don't often visit and probably won't return to. Food is somewhat good but nothing compared to local places. Wait times can be decently long, too. Portions not too big and...
