Worst stereo shop ever!! Convinced me on being best in business and guaranteed work. They where 160 dollars higher than 3 other shops I checked. I even tipped them 50 dollars. I told them I do not care for price I just want it done correctly because I am very busy running three businesses and a family. I do not want to keep coming back and fourth. I got a back up camera, In dash and new door speakers. As soon as I pulled out of the shop after completion the driver speaker started cutting in and out. I turned around and came back and they said it was a setting on the indash. I left the shop again and as soon as I got on the freeway it started to do it again! I called the shop and they told me to come back tomorrow for appointment. I told them I couldn't come back tell next week due to work. I set up appointment for Tuesday. When I called so I can drop van off they said they where so slammed with work and understaffed they couldn't get me in. They asked if I could come in the week after. When I called to come in for my appointment no one knew who I was or knew I had a appointment. I finally got scheduled for the following weeks after calling three times. When I got there they said they will switch out the door speaker. Which was not the problem. after I left it did started cutting out again. Then they said it was my speaker wire in the door and it's common. My car is a 2019 how is the speaker wire going bad. I did not have those issues prior to the install. If they knew it's common why wouldn't they replace it while they had everything apart. They said they have to take everything apart again to replace it and will charge me another 100 dollars. I explained to them as I said before I wanted my car done right I don't care the price I just don't want to come back. They said it's not there problem. Here I am coming back three times and they want to charge me again. I didn't want to come back due to them being unprofessional, rude, and wanting more money. I found another shop and told them the problem and my experience. They said they will go through everything and find out what's wrong. My speakers where connect with electrical tape not even connectors? Best in business huh ? The reason why my speaker was cutting out was because the indash was not installed correctly it was not connected all the way and one of the wires was pinched. I gladly gave the other shop 150 dollars for re do And tipped them another 200. Stay clear of their smiling faces and buddy buddy tactics to lure you in!! Read moreMy stock radio volume control has been broken for nearly 10 years so I wasn't looking to get anything special. Just a local shop with decent prices that could install same day. I checked their website for sale items and called to find out stock for item I picked. Went in for a specific Alpine UTE-73BT head unit and installation and got upsold to include a set of speakers at a "discounted price" .. I agreed even though I didn't really want them but that's ok. Went to lunch and we got back right at the perfect time as they just finished. (1h20m) I was told we got an even better set of speakers (not sure which specific set, handwriting on work order illegible) for no addl charge. I think he said SXE but those don't look that special $80-100 maybe but he made it sound like I got a $500 set of speakers for $250. The head unit doesn't have an extreme amount of power or range control so I wasn't expecting a whole lot.
They helped me setup my pairing of my phone to the head unit and gave me a quick run through of the buttons. Played some Pandora through the Bluetooth audio on the way home messing with settings at stop lights to try and get it sounding how I liked. By the time I got home I realized something was just not right with left rear speaker pushed the fader all the way to read and balance to the left and found the speaker was not dead but sounded like it was only running 5% and a lot of static. Took it back the same day and they rushed it in a bag and took care of it in less than 10min. Problem was a grounded lead hitting on the door. Luckily no damage to head unit and system sounds great. I'm going to have a much more enjoyable trip from LA to Las Vegas now that I can play whatever I want from my Pandora or Spotify.
Overall I'm very happy with the install and it saved me hours doing it myself not to mention my 45y/o back doesn't bend in the ways needed to install radios anymore. Go in knowing what you want be willing to negotiate and you should come out satisfied. My girlfriend calls these my "glowing reviews", I give stars and details, you have to decide...
Read moreThey seemed to be pleasant and knowledgeable when I walked in to inquire, but I believed, honesty, respect and consideration counts a big part of a business deal.
I taken in my older 2 door car for a stereo and back up camera installation, and generally, it looks like they did a great job.
When I checked, I noticed that the back up cam was loosed, they put a double tape on it, I guess its fine. Eventually, I seen that there is no trunk door liner, so I politely asked them where it was, and they answered me with an insulting comment, they said ( Is that a Lexus?). I also asked them politely about the old stereo, and they said it was in the car, but it wasn't there, I had to asked 3 times before I got it, I know it wont cost much but it's mine, and I dont expected them to keep it.
About the trunk door liner, I didn't know if there's a liner originally, coz I didn't payed attention to that unil I had the back up cam installed. I checked the other car with the same year and model, the only difference is it was a sedan and it has a liner on it, so I decided to call them and ask about it, but they sounds very mad, I asked them if they wanted me to bring the other car in so they will see that there is a liner on its trunk door, but, they said, ( it's not necessary, I don't know what is ur problem ) so I just let it go and put it behind. I have no intention to cause them anything unfavorable, I just wanted to share my experience. Happy with the installation, but, disappointed with the treatment.
I hope this comment can help them to better things, especially, treating people with respect regardless of they're economic status, or the kind of car they drive.
REVISION after few weeks (Aug 19, 2019):
I got a problem with the back up cam when I had the battery taken out for check up. I went back to ask them to check it, and the same person helped me and get it working again for free.
With that said, I believed, they deserved a 5 star rating for being supportive....
