The Crab Shack at Carson — Restaurant in Carson

The food was alright, I ordered the fish and chips, the fish was soft but the flavor was missing and all I could taste was the grease. My boyfriend ordered the shrimp super spicy, not spicy at all... his mother ordered the Cajun burger, she said it was good but the patty was way too huge and thick..

SERVICE SUCKED Our waitress spoke way too quietly, we kept asking her to repeat herself and she would say ‘what?’ Like if she couldn’t hear us either, which it was not loud in there.

She never checked on us to see how things were going and she moved like a snail.

I was waiting for her to bring us some napkins.. Never did. I seen her setting up a table for some people coming in and she set them up with napkins and they didn’t even have any food or even ordered yet. With my hands dirty and greasy I said as she walked by with her head down ‘can we get napkins over here’ and she just looked and said ‘oh. Yea’ and brought us some. Also the other workers behind the counter just kept starting over making Things awkward.

Also, one of the workers was walking outside and knew she had people walking behind her and he just let the door swing closed on them, the lady behind her almost got hit in the face, and the worker didn’t even say anything.

Nothing but young workers in their who don’t no how to show customer service. No tip was left. Never will go back their again and won’t even try another location, they have ruined the experience for all...

I love the crab shack i go here for gumbo pretty much twice a month. It's so good and I love it so much... It's very well seasoned; and good quality. The staff are really friendly and also make sure to correct mistakes. One time I had asked for extra crab meat inside my gumbo. I paid extra for it remind you and when i got home; and opened up my gumbo there was no extra meat. I can tell when they add extra and there was none. So I went back a week and mentioned it to one of staff; who was working that day. She was very nice and apologize about it; and even gave me a small discount. I really appreciate that and tbh thats what keeps me coming back. I even took a friend there yesterday to eat a pound of shrimp; and of course staff was friendly and often corrected mistakes. Overall this place is amazing to go to; when it comes to quality of food and friendliness of staff. If I could give them more...

I currently live in San Juan, Puerto Rico and came back to California for a wedding. While here I wanted to meet my mom and god mom for dinner. I love my god mom and my mother but they can be extremely picky and high maintenance but the staff was great and were able to keep them smiling. Me and my BF shared the #2 combo with snow crabs, two pounds of shrimp and mussels. We shared it and still had leftovers to take home. I would’ve have gave them 5 stars if it was not for the fact that they didn’t have anything to make mixed drinks, no Chardonnay, they didn’t have the crab my mother enjoys eating and they were also out of coke.
