1 server to help 3 separate parties. 1- group of 9, 1 group of 5 & 1- group of 1. I was party of 9. We arrived and waited 10 minutes. Once seated, we waited an additional 20 minutes for someone to take our order. When she (apologies as she wasnāt wearing a name tag and did NOT give her name) arrived to our table she immediately advised us she was the only one to help us for the night. We were fine w it and tried to allow her some time to get herself situated. Yet, she proceeded to take all 9 of our orders. She never once took our drink orders. Only food orders. After 20 minutes, my throat was parched and I asked if anyone got their drink order taken. Everyone said no. I got up to see where our server was- when I passed the register area, she was hiding and asked āexcuse me, can I help you?! She was upset. Because apparently I may have crossed the āNo manās landā for her. When I let her know she didnāt take our drink orders, she stated ā itās just meā. When I asked if she needed help, she stated āitās just meā. When I asked who was going to Cook our food, she stated she had a cook, but again āitās just meā. When I asked if she needed help, she said ā itās just meā. I asked the party of 1 if he had been helped because he seemed very upset & he said ānah, she hasnāt even come to meā. I advised her āif youāre short handed, I am happy to helpā she again stated āitās just meā. I asked the party of 5 if they had been helped and they were quiet. I became upset. We had been waiting well over 30 minutes and if she couldnāt handle it all on her own despite her being very forthcoming w her āitās just meā, she could have asked for help. Or at least told us that she wouldnāt be able to assist us especially as she hadnāt even assured the other 2 parties whether we were going to get our food or not. However, the rest of the party became upset and we left. IHOP- if youāre short staffed- DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT. If you've a LAZY, INCOMPETENT employee, DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT! But donāt waste our time w this and employ an incompetent girl who didnāt seem to like her job and was barely doing the bare minimum. We left: however, as we were exiting the parking garage I did notice 2 of Carson Cityās Sheriff PD already at curbside- they got their faster than she TOOK OUR ORDER. The server is incompetent. And this does not bear well with IHOPās mission statement. Help the poor girl out or put her on better shifts because I have received better service at the local gas station w much less on...

Which is why itās so unfortunate that this visit was by far the worst experience I have ever had at any IHOP. It started off good, the host seated us 2-3 minutes after arriving. Shortly after being seated the server came to take our order and we got our drinks and food about 10 minutes later. My husband got the Quick 2 Egg Breakfast and was given wheat bread instead of white bread, but no real problem there. I got my all time favorite Bacon Temptation Omelette with hash browns. It was here when the problem began. The minute I cut into my omelette I saw the raw bacon! Iām usually not too picky if my food isnāt perfect, but this whole omelette had raw bacon. To make matters worse the server never came back to check if we needed anything. So 20 minutes later my husband is done eating and our server is no where in sight. This was ridiculous, the place was near empty, I would say 5 tables at most and two servers, so I had to ask the 2nd server for help. The older gentleman was nice enough to get our server for us, she however did not seem so happy. In fact, she looked over at us and (thinking I didnāt know Spanish) responded to him by saying āthey can waitā in Spanish. Sure enough she walked past us and went to ask the table besides us if they needed anything, despise the fact that the 2nd server specifically pointed at our table. When she finally came over, I told her the bacon was raw and that I no longer wanted the omelette. I requested the check and she didnāt even bother asking me if I wanted another omelette until I pointed out that I would only be paying for my husbands food and our drinks. We had to ask the host to charge us, who was nice enough to get our server, Maria. She took another 15 minutes to charge us, gave me attitude when she came back with the change and didnāt give me my receipt even though she had it in her hand. Clearly she didnāt want me to call and complain about her poor service. And apparently Iām not the only person that has had a bad experience with this older woman who has a slight accent. Ā Ā Ā Read moreMy partner chooses IHOP over Dennys and Norms ONLY because of the strawberry pancake syrup. The only positive I can say is that the coffee was good. The issues that came up were 1) the server looked annoyed she had to be there. But, whatever, people are allowed to have bad days. 2) they don't have buffalo wings, which I've seen at every other diner we've ever been to, but it's ok! 3) the chicken strips were hard and dry, obviously cooked for too long. 4) they don't have buffalo sauce, which was another surprise. 5) they don't have blue cheese dressing, just ranch or honey mustard 6) prices are too high for the lack of menu options and the quality of the food. 7) server was visibly irritated when my partner said he's a veteran and asked if they offered a discount. She said yes and crumpled the original check in her hand in apparent frustration (my observation). 8) When the server left the check on the table she walked away. We thought we paid at the front so we stood by the hostess stand and waited. I finally asked someone and they said we were supposed to pay at the table with our server.
