Our experience was not good whatsoever for many different reasons. We stayed 2 weeks for business. As you enter the hotel lobby, the carpet and overall area are very dirty and it was always highly noisy (including the pool area) due to the bar area and outdoor sitting. Also, both the lobby and outside area, including the pool, smelled like cigar and cigarettes everyday from the patrons visiting the bar to watch the games though they were not staying at the hotel. The outdoor and pool areas have potential, but are not kept up. The gazebos in the pool area are full of bugs and spiderwebs. Also the housekeeping crew did not clean after pool parties properly. None of the power supply plugs worked in the pool area. We informed the front office multiple times about this and they kept saying they would let maintenance know, but the issue was never fixed. So, I could not enjoy working by the pool and instead was stuck in the filthy room. Pictures show how different things in the room were not cleaned when they are so easy to keep clean. The TV remote was nasty with caked on filth. Light switches and fridge shelves were also dirty. And the bathroom exhaust fan was full of caked on dust. The feather comforter was full of holes so all the feathers were coming out covering the entire room in feathers. So much so that my allergies were exacerbated. We had to switch to the non-feather blankets. The carpet smelled and was dirty in multiple spots. But the worst was the mattress, it was so old, it had no support. Both of our backs went out sleeping on that mattress for 2 weeks. Ally coworkers had the same issue with their mattresses, all in different rooms. Also, one of my coworker's room had live roaches. The entire hotel, common areas and rooms, are in dire need of remodeling. But, I doubt anything will happen as they keep on making money from contracts with large companies and the events from the civic center next door. Breakfast was $20 and the restaurant wasn't open throughout the day like it was supposed to be. Only positives: pool and jacuzzi were clean, free parking, close to the freeway (which actually could be a negative due to the noise; you can't really enjoy a nice quite time at the pool).

Can someone explain to me what happened to customer service?! I know after COVID customer service took a hit, but you are literally GUEST SERVICES! I checked into a room that wasn’t clean. The desk was sticky, there was trash in the corners of the room. The mirrors and bath tub were dirty and I had no towels. I tried to SPEND MONEY to have room service brought to me and when the QR code( which easily could have just been an actual menu in Its place *Photo included*) didn’t work I first called room service, (which didn’t answer) then the front desk to see if I could get a menu or at least be told if what I wanted could be ordered. I was instantly met with hostility and told that if the QR code wasn’t working there’s nothing they could do about that and told to just come down to eat the complementary breakfast they had available. Firstly if I was in a position to come down or even wanted to come down I wouldn’t have even considered paying for food to be brought to me. Secondly to have absolutely no will to correct something for a guest that should be working properly is beyond my understanding. Now forgetting that DD and Uber eats was an option I took the shabbiest and most irritated walk of shame to the lobby because I was hungry. I get to the one of the worst layouts of food I’ve ever seen. It look old, dry and cold. There’s no warnings for people with allergies in sight, and an abundance of dirty dishes to put it on. I asked a staff member about allergens in foods and she wasn’t sure and when I asked her to check, she just kept saying it should be fine. I tried to speak to management about my experience so far and she stood in front of me and I was told she too busy to speak with a guest that is currently in her hotel experiencing issues. I then asked her to call and I still haven’t received a call. Between this and the Hampton I switch from because of the traumatizing event with a staff member trying to get into my room in the middle of the night. I would say this was easily the most overwhelmingly negative experience with the Hilton franchise in all my years. As a Hilton Honors member I am highly disappointed and will be taking my business elsewhere.

Obligatory "I'm a Diamond member". I stay at a good amount of Hilton properties.

The good: Comfy bed, big TV, good AC, good wifi, Daniel is a great manager.

The ok: channel selection, the shower, parking

The bad: freeway and vehicle noise, check-in process.

So I checked in on the app the day before and said I'd be there at 3pm. This is a points stay for 1 night. I get a room away from the freeway on the top floor. By the time I'm an hour away from the hotel (at 4m, an hour behind), I haven't gotten the key. This is a problem I've had a few times so I call.

The guy on the phone seems to have no idea I've already checked in on the app. I'm driving and don't feel like training the new guy so I'm like alright, I'll go to desk when I arrive. Surely my room will be ready by 5pm on a Saturday.

I arrive, and since I'm checked in on the app I send my girlfriend, whose name is an additional guest, in to get keys while I park. She calls saying I have to be there - not what other properties do when I've checked in on the app. So I get to desk and show ID. Am told she could have gotten a key if I checked in on the app....which I did, and showed him I had. Since the computer is literally showing my reservation info, either both staff I spoke to are not trained to check or something is wrong with their system.

Am then told my room isn't ready but there's another on the top floor. Ok, no problem.

One thing about me is I worked at a busy hotel for 2 years and know that rooms near busy streets are almost always noisy. I avoid them.

This room is very close to the 405, but at check in it wasn't super loud and with the TV on I didn't notice it being very loud. So maybe it'll be ok......

....it's not. In the morning I awake to hearing every motorcycle, rice burner, muscle car, jake break and other loud road noise there is. It wakes me up repeatedly until I just get up.

I chose this location over the homewood/hampton by long beach airport figuring it would be quieter. And who knows, maybe the rooms away from the freeway are. However, seeing as I can't guarantee the room I'm going to get (which happens), can't rely on the room I checked into the day before to be ready by the time I'm there (which is fixable if when I call an hour out the person on the phone sees which room I'm checked into and communicates with housekeeping), and don't know if the computer or the personnel are not seeing I've checked in (which is the hardest thing to be understanding about - this is not new, I was checking what rooms my member guests had selected before arrival back in 2010 and letting people know about computer problems), I can't say I'll recommend...

Rude and confrontational front desk supervisor and liar to customers! Humiliated experience and power abusing. Daniel Ncieno the front desk supervisor even called the police to kick us and out our little boy out immediately just because we asked for a room change. What a ridiculous service!!! It’s outrageous and totally unacceptable! Will never come back to any of the Double tree and Hilton related hotel, horrible service and they treated customer like fool! My wife and I brought our 2 year old kid for vacation, and we booked this hotel online 1 month ago. Supposed to stay from 6/30 to to 7/4, but the first night room was terrible, the bath tub did not drain and the tub was not solid feels like water contained underneath. And the room was located at the end of the hallway, we already mentioned that’s not a good sign in our culture but Daniel still told us room sold out, and when I said I have question on it since we asked for that in the lunch way before people checking in. Right after that, He immediately went into rage mode, and said he will just refund us, and we’re trespassing, and called the police officer to evicting us right away! Never bring your family to this place, especially with your loving kids, there’s no respect or. Service at all. I felt it’s like he is a brutal dictator, and we are nothing but just someone could can be evicted anytime they want. It’s Independence Day, and it took us a whole day to book another hotel, and we spent double of the money to stay. Our vacation was totally ruined, and my family all got mental trauma now, because there’s no security anymore, hotel is not a hospitality and peaceful place anytime, just a dangerous place. What’s more, we also felt discriminated, just because we’re minority, the way they treated the airline white peoples are totally different, way more professional and patience. And with us, no tolerance at all, and they don’t care if we have a little boy and if we have a place to stay or not. Complained to double tree corporate, said to feedback by last week, but no reply at all. I got no word to say, but the way how I was treated, I don’t wish it happen to other family again!! Hotel is not a place to bully minority customers especially with...
